My Experience so far with my Titan OTR

I am amazed at how little discomfort and no pain from the surgery. Walking is a little difficult and gets sore but everyday it gets better. I use to not wear underwear and now I have to, to keep it more hidden. Maybe I should have started wearing underwear a month prior to surgery to get use to that.

How satisfied am I? Like everyone, just wish you could have gotten a little more but since I set my expectation low as a result of a lot of things I read and I turned out a lot better that I expected, I am extremely happy. Would I still make the decision? Knowing everything, I would have done it ten years ago and I would have lost even less. My current loss is not due to the implant. It is what is was prior to surgery but not pre-cancer/ radiation treatments.

I am doing my exercises. Last week I pumped and immediately deflated (well started deflating - I'll explain) and now I pump it up all the way and leave it for 5 minutes 2x a day. Next week I go for 20 minutes 2x a day and try to pump it even after I think it is full. My Doctor says I need to stretch things back up since I was a "didn't use it so I lost it".

The surgery seems to have improved my blood flow surprisingly! It gets a little swollen and twitches on its own and I can see the head swell. Prior to the surgery I basically lost my sex drive. I really thought about just giving it up. I had no sex drive to speak off. Since the surgery? I am fantasizing again and I cannot wait to use it and its been a long time!

Pumping it up... not as simple as I imagined it would be, even though I have seen others say the same. I am also surprised at the size of the pump even though I read it was large. But every time I practice it gets easier. I can get it pumped up in less than a minute and I think that is good. Even after it is pumped I try some more, but I am not feeling that "swish" so I think I have it full.

Deflating is another issue. If you have not had the surgery and you opt to have it done, I would make a note to not leave the hospital without your practice pump also called the "Keychain". You think from the pictures, it would be simple to locate and engage the deflation. But there is some swelling and stitches, etc and it can get slightly confusing at first. I also expected to feel the release pump push in and you feel nothing at all. I feel sort of a "let-down" when it starts to release but sometimes I am not sure if I am imaging it or not. On the video, the guys deflate in seconds (less than a minute) so I guess that is my goal. But right now it takes almost 15-20 minutes to deflate. Now part of that is I do not try and deflate it in one push. I rest so I do not cause discomfort and then release and squeeze again then rest. I think standing up also makes a big difference... does it? is there any other tricks?

I posted that I could not get it really pointing down but I found if I try and try, finally I can get it pretty deflated. I can tell when the tubes are empty because I can feel them "pop" when I compress and let go. At the very end also I can start to feel a swish in reverse. I will also look a little excited, but I do not mind. Before the surgery I was a real grower. I had the opposite problem in the gym, that I would shrink a lot and I also felt uncomfortable then. I might now but I think I will be more proud of the way it hangs.

The only real thing I do not like but my doctor says with the exercise it should correct itself, but he said i had a lot of scarring from the radiation, so one tube sits higher than the other. When I am inflated it is not noticeable, except the head if you look closely tilts slightly right. When I am deflated.. it is VERY noticeable. Maybe I will post some pictures. It really curves to the right..seriously to the right and one of the tubes (the long one) pushes out on the left side and you can see a noticeable bump. Dr. says it is normal and not to worry. Usually it is not bad just after deflation. I think the underwear pushes it right also. I tried to place my penis on the left side, but it is too uncomfortable.

I do not worry and am just more excited about using it. I cannot believe how much my sex drive is increasing and the thoughts I am starting to have. I feel a live again and that is huge for me. It was just over a year and a half ago I thought I could not cope and tried to take my life. It was really stupid I know, but my despair and pain was great. I was only 42 when i had cancer (E.D. starting showing prior due to MS, but Viagra worked back then), 30 when I was dx with MS, was going through my second divorce and then I had soldiers show up at my door telling me my son was killed (He was a SGT in the Army) and I also just had a hip replacement. I just felt the pain was never going to end and of course, E.D. and being single was horrifying and feeling like you would never feel intimacy again.

Overall I am extremely satisfied with my implant even with some of the "problems". I see a future again.

Good to hear to are doing well and like your implant. Have I lost track of time or have you gone the normal six weeks and have been officailly activated? I thought you and Robin ahd them done about the same time. How does the defaltion work on the Titan? on the LGX you press the deflate button once and it will deflate on it's own till there is little pressure left in the cylinders but still you will be fat and longer. If you hold the button down it seems to deflate faster and if you hold the button down and squeeze then it takes less than 10 seconds to completly deflate at which time my cylinders are not round and it is also almost as bendable as before the implant. Is this about how the titan operates?

I'm so pleased that you're pleased. Indeed, I was not aware of your story until today. Bless you for surviving it all.

Today is the 3rd week since my surgery. I must have been activated from day one because he left me at a semi state for two weeks so that I could stretch.

Here is my schedule since then.

2 weeks after surgery:

1st week: Inflate and immediately deflate the device 1x a day
2nd week: Inflate for 5 minutes, 2x a day
3rd - 5th week: Inflate for 20 minutes, 2x a day and try pumping more during the 20 minutes to try for max inflation.
6 weeks... start using and during the next 6 months pump at least once daily (mild stretch or mild discomfort) for 10-15 minutes each day for 6 months.

I am on my 3rd week so even now I have it totally inflated for the 20 minutes

I’m not sure where to start; what a guy, an amazing story, the courage of many in one guy. Your post had to be difficult to write but I very glad you did. Thank You! We each have a different journey and at times all of us feel the darkness. I have certainly had some very dark days with the ED stuff and finding this site and clan was a great help to me. But, your efforts and challenges and the way you are tackling them and are a lesson for us all. OMG.

Your decision to become bionic was a testament to your own strength and the outcomes are a wonderful reward for your efforts. None here will be surprised if the moniker is changed; you are no longer in the shadow in so many ways. I must say- enjoy the sunshine and celebrate yourself as often as possible! Sex drive is good.

Also, thanks for the details of your post. For those of us who have not been required to seriously consider an implant (yet) every story, every pic is an affirmation that this is a doable task. Your willingness to share removes mystery and fear and, if required, our “shadows” will be lighter and less penetrating. This is a very good place and you and your courage have emboldened all of us. Thanks.

If you feel comfortable, please consider posting your pics. They represent a different issue and will assist some I am sure. And since the doc says the exercises will change your shape over time, later pics can show the future in the coming months. It is also exciting to hear that sensation and feeling are returning to the important places. You are experiencing the side effects of a surgery in the best ways. Again enjoy.

Shadow, I cannot sign off without acknowledging the loss of your son. I am a Viet Nam vet and lost friends there, had some friends damaged there and have visited with their parents when I returned. But I have not lost a son. There are simply no words only a hug and a salute. Rest assured those of us who wore the uniform understand the sacrifice and know we are a better nation because of his service and ultimate sacrifice. I am sure he would celebrate your new bionic status with a smile and probably a semi-off-color-joke. . . .

You honor him and yourself now by living fully, laughing often, and sharing and helping others as you did with this post. Your courage is a good thing!

Dick, thanks. It has been quite the trials for me.

apologize to everyone that I do not respond more but I have trouble trying to find my posts. I almost think this board has a serious indexing problem. It takes me a long time for not only find my post, but I have to try and come in different ways to see all the responses. I am not sure what is going on but I never know if I am seeing all the replies or not.

Like this thread... for me it does NOT show up in the implant forums index. I have to "find my posts" and then it should only what I wrote. I had to then search for posts by shadowwolfe and I found more responses. It is very frustrating. I want to post pics, but not till I can get this working right.

But I am trying to read and respond and apologize if I don't see the posting.

I have the same problem with posts disappearing when I use Google Chrome. I would have to go to the bottom of each forum and hit "go" by the sort box. That would cause everything to update. This doesn't happen with Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Hey! I believe I was the one that was having surgery the same day (April 28th) as you. I was fitted with the LGX @ Chapel Hill and they gave me, almost, the exact opposite information and not to do anything until June (six weeks after surgery). Are the LGX and Titan that much different?? I know size but in how you operate the device after surgery, etc. I am having a little difficulty in getting the pump all the way down. Or at least I think so ...
Glad all is well with you and that the pump is working how you want it to. I am excited about getting to the point to start pumping and deflating, etc. and trying it out on someone.

IE does work better with this site. Firefox 4 and Chrome seem to have problems. Anyhow I am going to post a few pics. In the bttom pic you can see the balls are normal now but I still have a lot of swelling at the base of the penis. In the top pic when you are looking head on, you can see the penis surves slightly.

Anyone have a problem with the titan inflating somewhat on its own? Seems like I deflate really well and then at times it is partly inflated again. Not a big deal at all just asking.
