Day 15 post op

Yesterday, I got tired of the pain during night and took 2 of the heavy painkillers I used for the first 3 days post op. Trying to stay close to European time to reduce future jetlag for Europe and/or SE Asia. So I went to sleep around 7 pm and slept like a log and woke up around 2 am with minimal pain. Those painkillers used to work for 4-6 hours for me before.
Took a bath, pumped up implant and stayed in tub for 45 minutes.
Ever since then, around 3:30 am, I have had almost no pain. It's been 20 hours since I took the painkillers, so can't be because of them.
The pain just went overnight from terrible to very mild. And I just rebooked my NY-Frankfurt tickets and cancelled the Frankfurt-Scandinavia tickets.
WTF!!!!

I could easily have been going back. Unless of course this is some fluke and the pain will return..?

And as a sidenote, Eid is god damn it always right.
He told me I was stupid not taking painkillers before going to sleep. He claimed pain is always worse during night due to hormonal cycles. And if I take painkillers and sleep well, pain will be less next day. BS I said to myself. But he seems to be right all the time. Almost to the point where it's a little annoying, haha.

It seems as though you recovered quite quickly due to the warm baths; and that you have been able to pump to a good erection in no time at all. Day 16 post op

Yesterday was a huge step forward in terms of pain. Today no noticable difference to yesterday. But still a huge difference to 2-3 days ago.
Eid has cleared me to go home, but since I will stay for another 6 days and my hotel is only 200 m from his office, he suggests I drop by every second day.
Was there today, and the walk was ok. Went to a nearby grocery store to get some snacks afterwards and pain was not too bad. Had taken no painkillers.
Have been cycling since day 13. It really only hurted the first time. Now it only hurts if I really push it and pump way beyond what would be a good sex inflation.
I never experienced the pump as hard. I cannot even nearly completely squeeze the pump, but it is not needed to inflate. Just needs more of the small pumping presses.
Deflation was more of an issue. Deflate valve requires some hard pressing, but it is already getting easier and valve is getting more easily accessible thanks to reduced swelling.

I don't care much about the size issue, as long as the loss would be reasonable, let's say <1 inch.
But I know it's a hot topic and for the sake of information and sharing my experience I will post my measurements.

First inflation, day 13 post op, no arousal
Length: 14 cm (5.5")

Day 16 post op, aroused, but pumped to 'comfort level' only. What would be usable for sex.
Length: 15 cm (5.9")
Girth: 14 cm (5.5")

So, compared to my best aroused size on viagra before implant I am now 1.5 cm (0.6") shorter and equal in girth.
Worth remembering though is that in order to get today's measurement, I masturbated a while, took a break and slowly went to get a ruler, measured carefully, and then kept going with a rock hard dick.
To get the viagra based aroused pre-op measurement I took a pill for 16 USD, waited 45 minutes, got in to the bathroom, watched some porn, masturbated hard till I was 2 seconds from coming, dropped everything and instantly took the ruler and measured before the dick two seconds later went into semi-mode...

I think I will keep gaining size, but even if not - I am ok with what I have now.

Giollam121, it is actually quite common to get an implant over the holidays. Many many people have additional time off, factories close and such, so many in fact that it is TOUGH to get an implant in December. I tried for years. I do not think merrix trashed you in his posts. More explained his experience was such he would never recommend it which is the opinion of several of the top docs in this country including one I had 2008-2010 whose specialty was penile reconstruction after cancer or severe injuries such as torn up in machine accidents, traveling the world for complex cases. ( made him damned expensive though, an office visit would cost me as much as $1455.00) If there is a man who knew how the anatomy of a penis worked, he knew it with his eyes closed. I wish you well. I see this differently. Ultimately this procedure is not about a wife or anyone other than the person who elects to have it. I'm not sure if it's male ego in any negative sense to want to enjoy sex without constantly monitoring your erections. We usually are not specific enough when we talk about what it's like to have ED. It's not a binary, where either you can have sex or you can't. When a man with ED says he has sex for 5-10 minutes, it's a very specific kind of 5-10 minutes. Pleasurable as sex can still be, there is always the mental strain, the inability to fully let go and experience the moment. This is what makes us feel disconnected from ourselves. This is what we are curing. It's not about being some brainless pornstar who no longer has to think about anything other than his brand new dick. It's about finally freeing yourself to think of something else. I also totally understand wanting to change your mindset so that ED is no longer such a psychological burden, and I respect anyone who takes this path. I have considered it myself many times. It's not unreasonable. But I still think that this procedure can really improve a man's quality of life. You had a bad outcome with your procedure and that is giving you a resentful perspective on your actions and motivations. But if it had gone well you would have been extremely happy, and would have felt everything was justified.

We all need to do what we need to do and not worry about what others will think. That said wives and partners should know how we feel and how much ED affects some of us even if our partners say it isn't important and not to worry. Doing it for someone else is likely a disaster. Doing it for yourself with the support of your partner when possible no matter the outcome is the way to go. My wife said it was fine no matter how bad the ED was but once I was fixed she is very happy with me being much more relaxed.
