New to FrankTalk, just saying hello

Postby sonrise » Sun Dec 27, 2015 5:13 pm

Hi to all,

I just learned about Franktalk and registered online. A little bit about myself since you asked. I am a 57 YO man, robotic prostate surgery for early stage prostate cancer in April 2015, and doing fine on recovery in most respects (incontinence under control and two clean PSAs so far after surgery) except for the ED. The surgeon reports that he was able to spare both nerve bundles, but I do not get any sensation or arousal whatsoever from manual stimulation. So far all that works is the VED or the injections (trimix to start but it caused too much aching so I planning on shifting soon instead to bimix). Would be interested in any sort of online chat or phone-in discussion/support to hear how other guys have managed to work their way through the ED until they started getting aroused and erect again.

Sonrise,
Welcome to FT. Sorry to hear about your ED issues since surgery, but it's still early and things can change. Hopefully, you've had time to search the site here, especially the discussion forums; you'll probably find a lot of answers to your questions there. FT is a gold mine of experience and knowledge living with every imaginable ED related problem.

Hello,

Very many helpful posts here and after years of ED, considering ipp. I first started viagra in 1997 at age 34yo and wow, I was banging for 60 mins and able to drape a heavy bath towel on the penis and walk around. Those days have passed and the pills are not as effective in 2015 especially if my heart rate goes up and in certain positions, doggy and mission I suspect a venous leak. So I have my consultation at Kaiser SoCal this January. Any info regarding experience with SoCal Kaiser urology, Good Docs? Thank you

You would probably find suggestions in the book "Saving Your Sex Life After Prostate Cancer" by Dr. Mulhall.
Whatever you do you need to try to keep "new blood" coming into the penis with the hope that it will "wake up" after a while.
Courage, man.
