caverject failure? frozen trimix?

Postby oowright » Sun Feb 07, 2016 12:57 pm

Two questions.

Does caverject (impulse) fail initially and over time, as trimix does?

If trimix is mistakenly frozen, will the thawed liquid still be efficacious?

Thanks in advance ...

Hello, I have frozen trimix for almost a year without degrading of the mixture or loss of efficacy. I purposely bought more than I needed to use as a test sample. I froze it for just over 10 months and then thawed it and used it. It worked just as good as it had previous to the test!
Now I freeze it after each dose that I remove from the bottle. I only store it frozen.
Also, in the nearly two years that I have been using trimix I haven't experienced any loss of effectiveness or need for increasing the dosage.

If you do a search for "freeze" on this board you will find many posts from guys who freeze trimix. You will also find that some doctors recommend freezing, while others advise against it. The guys who do freeze their med — I'm one of them — report good results in preserving the potency of the prescription.

After filling a few syringes have been refreezing Trimix for 3 yrs off and on for 3 yrs. My urologist is ok with this. I would have wasted a lot of trimix other wise.

I wonder if/what repeated freezing and thawing of the trimix vial does in terms of degradation and if this would still be advantageous to only keeping it refrigerated?
