Hi guys I did c Doppler ultrasound, on the doctors office and he used trimix to make sure I had an erection for the test. I needed close to 20 minutes with plenty masturbation to get an erection, due to anxiety, but was able to do the test. I needed 5 shots, to bring the erection fully down.
I had pain from 430 pm, mild tending towards discomfort. At 10pm i masturbaTed, which was a bit discomfortaale at first. I it was normal in what I am used to post fracture. I was and am In extreme fear that the erection would come back and not go away overnight or on itself.
That didn't seem to be the case, but i now have a somewhat hard flaccid with a bit of slight pain. Is this considered a residual erection that needs care at the er? Is it normal?
I'll try to remain calm till someone answers, but I fear further damage to my penis.... It's been 15 hours so far. My penis does not look purple or with lack of circulation, just the hard flaccid.
dopler test and pain afterwards
Re: dopler test and pain afterwards
PF,
I suppose you must have gone down completely by now ... or died trying?
" I needed 5 shots, to bring the erection fully down." << what did you mean by this?
Did the Doc have to shoot you full of phenylephrine or epinephrine? If so did he just let you go home before he was sure you were safe?
At any rate, if your erection was not rock hard and almost stinging the whole time (and also felt cold) then you probably still had blood flow going the whole time. If you were feeling aches and pains it was probably just because your Penis was not used to being so hard erected for so long and was just complaining (plus maybe Alprostadil Ache).
Also I have never heard of a doc giving Trimix for a Doppler test -- thought they always used just Alprostadil/PGE-1 solution as it is easier to gauge a shot (5-20mcg delivered PGE-1) and won't last as long as an equivalent Trimix shot -- if there even is such a thing.
Not sure about the hard flaccid. A shot up erection does tend to wax and wane after the full erection has gone down. You do not actually have ED right? If so your natural erection quality could also kick in causing some erection afterwards.
Let us know how its going.

RP 2008 ... MUSE 2008-9 .. TriMix Gel 2009 .. Trimix 2009-2015 ... PGE-1 2016-2019 ..Misoprostal 2019 Onward. All worked.
Re: dopler test and pain afterwards
thanks for answer. I did went to the follow up the next day, and was examined and it was all good, thank god. I do have ED, as you can tell from my signature. I had a penile fracture 1.5 years ago.
Anyway, i now know the results of the test and it's confirmed that i have organic erectile dysfunction. The erection resultant from the injectiion on the dopler test was excellent, with a 4 on a hardness scale, and no venous leak during the exam. I shall be posting further details, on a thread of my own on this.
And yes... 4 shots of phenilephrine.... not a funny experience.
