Trimix for under 30

Postby John84 » Tue Jun 28, 2011 7:33 pm

Hi, I would like to thank everyone who has contributed on this forum. It is extremely helpful and informative, these forums are especially required where the topics are sensitive to discuss with anyone in person. Thanks a lot!

I am 28, suffering from psychological ED - I have been tested for all physical tests and everything came out to be just fine. For some reason which I am totally unaware about, I am unable to get and/or maintain an erection when there is a girl in the room. Performance Anxiety!

So, I saw a urologist in Philadelphia who started my treatment with tablets and eventually prescribed Caverject. Boy, did it hurt! When I asked him about Trimix, he suggested I should pay a visit to Boston Medical Group. Now, the problem is that it is to expensive for me to afford BMG.

I have 2 questions for the experienced people here:

Is it safe to take injections at a young age and then continue for another x number of years?
Does anyone here know of a urologist in Philadelphia who prescribed Trimix?

Thanks in advance.

John,
I have heard the very same arguements against Caverject. My Uro took me from pumping straight to Trimix injections (at my request).
Trimix is made at a compounding pharmacy, and would require a prescription. Generally, the Uro wants to do the first injection, and give instructions.
I assume you have seen my post titled "Ohohia Kane's Injection Sequence " showing a lot of info.

If you have specific questions, I will reply if I have answers.

John: Man do I understand your problem about the Uro not giving you a script for TriMix. Mine would not either.. My complaint with Caverject was not the pain I have very good results with it but man the script was crazy expensive for me to fill. I started looking for a Dr. and found one that will give me a script for TriMix but he also like Caverject better. I suggest you go on a search for a Uro in your area that uses TriMix with his patients. A way for you to find one is to contact the Compound Pharmacy in your area and ask them what Uro docs in your area uses there services.

Best of luck

Thanks Bill, your post on the injection therapy sequence was indeed very helpful.

Thanks Cajun, you have given a vey interesting idea (compounding pharmacy) to find a urologist who prescribes Trimix - I was googling the name of urologist in Philly with 'Trimix' to see if I get anything substantial on net but in vain. I will call up a pharmacy to see if they could help.

first, find a new uro. any reputable uro will prescribe trimix with no problem. of course, they may want to know what's going on with you because of your age, but if you take along your records, that'll provide what they wanna know. Injections are great...you don't need anything fancy like Caverject or any of that. Just the mix and needles and you're all set. You'll see some amazing results here on this site. sorry you're having that problem at such a young age, but overcoming it is possible with a little medical intervention. Perhaps, once you've overcome the anxiety and find you can perform with injections, you'll be able to do it with no help other than a beautiful woman beside you. Good luck and always feel free to come here for advice if you feel the need.

I echo everyone's suggestion to fire your urologist. The Boston Medical Group is a scam. They are not usually staffed by urologists. They are strictly a high pressure sales scam. A good urologist would never send you there.
Find a new urologist.
The pain of caverject is caused by the alprostadil...or prostaglandin. This naturally occurring hormone is great at causing erections, but can be painful for many men. Trimix still has a healthy dose of this. If it still is too painful, the next step is leaving it out of the formula and just using two drugs - bi-mix!
If you need a compounding pharmacy recommendation, let me know.

Thanks,

John,
Sorry that you are having such troubles early on and hope it resolves itself soon.

You mentioned only vaguely that you tried one or more of the Big Three (as 'tablets').
Did your doc give you samples of all three? Some docs have a preference and will stick with one type. Some people get better results from one of the three: Cialis or Levitra or Viagra or at a certain dosage or a certain time of day (empty stomach). Plus they do need stimulation (plus mental stim too) to kick in since the erection process (first 6 stages ) has to be in working order for those to work well.

On the injections side of things. If you are just dating now -- no long term significant partner -- It would seem to be pretty awkward to work the injections into the picture. First the stuff needs to be refrigerated -- although an hour or two of room temp is probably not a problem -- just not in your warm pocket. And I guess you might have the syringe all set to go and just keep that cool with a KoolPak thingy somewhere. Finally, unless you partner is fascinated by the injection process, you would somehow have to excuse yourself to the bathroom to inject (although if you last 3-4 hrs you could start way ahead of time). All a bit of trouble to have go smoothly.

One final area to investigate would be TrimixGel (look for those posts here also). It is usually is not as effective as a real injection (but at your young age it might work well) and is super expensive ($30 a sploosh) but if used long term there'd never be any needle scarring. I am sure your uro would do the script and fax it in for you to try it. Especially mention to him that no needle scarring and no refrigeration needed. It would still be awkward to apply in the middle of a romantic evening, but it could also be mixed ahead of time and applied quickly.

Well .. keep us posted on your progress.

Thanks a lot everyone for your support!!

I met with a urologist at Philadelphia Urology Assoc. 1216 Arch St. and he is a great doctor. My treatment with Trimix has begun and I am hoping that I will not need to inject for a long time and my PA will disappear soon.
