Jeff:
You are so right! This a great day to pause, remember, celebrate and think of our future. Our neighborhood has, for the past 22 years, had a wonderful cherry tart, coffee, flag raising and "singing" beginning to this day. We always go and leave renewed with fellowship and appreciation of the freedoms and potential we have as families, neighborhoods and nation.
This site and our mission would not be appreciated in all places. The fact we join, straight, gay and bi in fighting a common enemy with fun, sarcasm, love, unconditioned support and brotherhood is a unique American opportunity. As we go thru the summer may we appreciate each other and the many blessings and opportunities we have.
As a Nam Vet, may we also appreciate the sacrifice of our own who are abroad keeping us safe and telling the story of our freedoms, tolerance and future.
We are blessed!
Regards,
Dick
