Is anyone reporting problems with this website???????
I saw a problem wed/Thurs last week where I started getting popup asking for missing items then jumping to sites not requested then msgs about Malware/Adware causing me to reboot - BUT 'seemingly' only on this site...
Later things appeared on other sites and now my laptop is fully infected.
Today I switched to my laptop. "Seems' OK BUT I just got a popup msg from this site 10mins ago.....

Re: Malware / Adware
I've had no issue, though I run MalwareBytes, Norton 360, Adblockplus, and Spybot Search and Destroy all the time. Anyone who says you cannot run all these programs at once is full of $#it or has a computer of low capacity to function. You cannot run all these together with McAfee as they all conflict thinking the other is an attack due to McAffee trying to make certain you only buy their product. MalwareBytes and Spybot are excellent for cleaning up computers with issues. Both find issues that Norton cannot find and all 3 find many issues that McAfee cannot find. The box stores such as Best Buy are big on pushing their anti virus but in my experience they are cheap programs that let many bots, malwares, and other malicious software get by. Everyone of my friends who use the big box store retailer versions are constantly having virus issues and taking their computers in for repairs. I use MalwareBytes and Spybot to clean up friends computers from time to time. Ad Block Plus is a freeware that will block ads. They have a separate version depending on the browser you use. (example given: Ad Block Plus for Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer). MalwareBytes costs $20-$30 U.S. for a lifetime license. Spybot Search and Destroy is a freeware that operates on donations. I have friends who are IT specialists and they also like Advira. I've used it but not blown away by it. As a freeware it does have limits compared to Norton. You can buy a license for 5 computers for Norton 360 at Costco for around $50-$60. It costs around $80 direct from Norton Symantec. Also look close if you try to download Spybot or Advira. I 've found fake sites fro both and they are not an antivirus but the opposite. Try Betternetworking.org for a mirror to download. Adblockplus will block all ads on facebook pages and many porn sites. Often virus' are in-bedded in advertising besides the annoyance. Hope this helps you sir. These assholes who try screw up other people's day suck.

Re: Malware / Adware
I have Norton and win defender running continuously. I tried to download malawarebytes and when I hovered over download it took me to a site to be able to reimage windows.
My son is a lot more savvy than me and managed to download another program that found a lot of files to delete.
He also found that the dns settings had been modified (not by me) to point to servers in Tel Aviv.
Despite fixing all of these I'm still infected (computer is at least) only 6 months old.
Strange thing is that for over a day I only saw the problems on FrankTalk
Presumably FT has some IT people. Hoped they might have jumped in to respond to my post!!

Re: Malware / Adware
Sorry you are having issues. I lost my response to you but will try again. My wife's computer has never been on FT. It runs the same software as mine. Wednesday evening she was on Facebook looking at a ladies page and clicked on a link she was discussing. All of her screens started flashing and rolling through. I told her she was getting a virus and yanked her connection, power cord and took the battery out of the computer for an instant shut down. She was trying to shut it down in normal shutdown fashion and that will not stop it fast enough to keep a virus from being installed. Fortunately that stopped it in time. It does not always stop it but sometimes it effectively does.
Back to your issue, Try this to clean up your computer. Our son manages $10 million in computer equipment. Many teams using laptops. He uses this to clean up the computers. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/combofix/ The name of the program is combofix. Be careful as it can remove software you may want to keep but being a new computer you may not have a lot of programs yet.
Try this link for the Malwarebytes: http://buy.malwarebytes.com/antimalware/premium try the free version. If you do not see it on the page that loads, scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and in the small print on the left click on "home" Within 30 days it will ask if you want to buy software. I always do because on several occasions it has fixed issues no other program could find and it is good to support those who try to help just like the group of kids ( they are older now) that started Spybot which works on donations. Malwarebytes quarantines and then removes issues. Spybot removes them. Both will block them and many others. There is a key to using spybot. You have to install it. Close and restart your computer. When you open it again at your desktop, RIGHT click on spybot icon. Click on run as administrator. If you do not run as administrator it will only load part of the protections. Then click on update. That page will direct you to a choice of mirrors. Chose any in your country, language or close to you. If the update list is not check marked, check each box, then load the update Each one will turn green. Then go back to your main page on spybot ( it should be the minimized page behind the update). click on immunize. It will count numbers in the right upper corner of the page. When it gets through counting numbers, her is the key to make it install the protections: click on immunize again. It will now install them. When it gets done click on "check for problems" . It will take a while to check every file on your computer, then when it gets done it will list all your infected files to remove. I use Spybot-Search & Destroy 1.6.2. . I find it is easier to use than the newer versions. They have a newer one coming but when people have issues I find they have troubles running them. The only issue they have with this one is the right click, administrator and running immunize twice. As long as you do that, it will work.
I sincerely hope this helps. I'll try to help you again if it does not and no others here do but it may be Monday evening before I am back here. I have a lot of travel to do in the mean time. Be well, hope your 'puter gets well too.

Hi,
Sorry you are having troubles - but FrankTalk is not infected. We are hosted by Bluehost - they make sure we are clean. Who knows where it came from, but it did not come from FrankTalk. Again...sorry!

Re: Malware / Adware
Did you get your computer fixed? It happened to cross my mind while working on a friends new computer for him today that Malware bytes and Spybot were still working on a final Windows 10 version and may not be released yet. You said you had a new machine so that may be your case yet. You can call Norton for support on issues their antivirus does not catch. Often it has already been reported and they can walk you through the code repair or do a remote connect to your computer and fix it for you as you watch. Hope this helps.
