My surgery was 6/15 and I was about 70% inflated for the first two weeks. It wasn't so much pain as it was discomfort. I find my penis is sticking out and very sensitive. The doctor deflated it about a little more than half after the first two weeks and that hurt like hell. The next week he deflated it all the way according to him but I am still rigid just not erect. Does it always stay like that? When I asked he joked and didn't give me a real answer. I can hold the pump and not sure of the location of the release valve. I feel fluid in the tubes if I press on them. I am almost 4 weeks out and cannot get used to sitting upright because the pump is at the bottom of my scrotum and doesn't seem to have a lot of room. I look like I have been swimming in cold water and wonder if that is just because there is still swelling. A jock is not comfortable and I do not hang down, but still stick out and to the side. I would love to hear from some veterans about whether this gets better. I have a coloplast device. I read about guys pumping and deflating right after surgery. Don't know how they can do that. My surgeon said leave it alone. I go back after week 6 frr instructions.
Could use some encouraging news.

How long does it take to get used to this thing in your sack
Re: How long does it take to get used to this thing in your sack
My friend...I promise you this....within a few weeks you will have absolutely no pain and no discomfort. If you had a Titan implant like I did, you will always look like you have a semi when flaccid. You are now a shower...not a grower. You are gonna get noticed now whether you like it or not. Makes changing in the locker room difficult cause folks will see your penis sticking out. If you have an AMS....it may become more flaccid looking with time. But a Titan is made of thicker, stiffer plastic.

BUt do you get used to it. I find it irritating that it is so stiff and awkward in my pants?
Re: How long does it take to get used to this thing in your sack
Not sure you get used to it. Instead you learn to cope with a permanent semi appearance

Flyguy:
It has to be better overall than what you were working with. Just takes a little time.

Re: How long does it take to get used to this thing in your sack
I had my surgery on 6/14 and other than the swelling I still have at the top half of my shaft, I rarely even notice that I have an implant. I don't notice the pump unless I am really hot and my junk falls to the floor. Otherwise, it's tucked up and I can only feel my testicles.
I was implanted with a AMS CX and it was done by the infrapubic approach. I was able to sample the implants and I tried folding over the Titan implant while deflated and it made dog ears and I realized there is no way that implant could ever be inside of me and actually look limp. I did the same with the AMS implants and they folded over nicely, so that was the implant I chose.
When fully deflated I look completely limp. I just look a lot longer. I think once this swelling goes away I should be able to tuck into my underwear quite nicely.
I resumed all normal activities like going to the gym without any problems. I am still not sure if I have fully inflated this thing as it still hurts a bit when I have it to where it feels like I'm stretched to the max. I was inflating and deflating the same day they let me out of the hospital. This is why I didn't and don't think I could ever to the scrotal approach.

Flyguy50, it takes some time for us to get used to changes in our bodies. An implant is certainly a drastic change. But here are my thoughts on the pump in my scrotum: every time I feel of the pump in my scrotum, I am HAPPY. This device (and the tubes and reservoir) gives me a wonderful erection which has restored my sex life with my wife and makes me feel better about myself! I feel the same appreciation for the semi-erection I carry around now even with the tubes deflated. Yea! Be happy! Hankthedog

For me, it was about 3-1/2 months before things really calmed down and the irritation finally subsided. The pain was never really out of hand (with the exception of days 4 and 5), but it was definitely uncomfortable for those first months. I'm at 7 months now and all of the irritation from the beginning is now just a memory. It will get better my friend. The body needs time to mend itself and readjust.Try to concentrate on all the goods time yet to cum!

TO my fellow implantees thanks for all the good advice. Things have calmed down now. The pump is a natural part of me now and only time I notice it is if I am sitting on my boat and bouncing with some waves. The penal irritation lessens each day. I found myself getting down because there is a real size difference from my pre-Ca surgery and pre-Peyronies days. But then I thank God I do not have cancer and can be sexually active once again. My wife assures me the size thing is a guy hang up and not any kind of issue for her.
