Trimix after NON nerve sparing prostatectomy

Postby Freddyboy » Sun Apr 17, 2016 9:44 pm

Hi guys- I recently had a NON nerve sparing prostatectomy. So of course nuthin works now cuz there's no nerves. Pumping is useless. Prior to the surgery no remedies worked either. I did get a 5 minute semi boner from trimix but increasing the amount didn't produce anthing useful. Doc figured it was venous leak. Then a month later diagnosed high risk cancer and had the prostate out. The nerves were involved too so they came out. Anyway I'm going to ask for another trimix rx in the hope that since everything was moved around, cut & sewn up etc maybe the venousleak is not as bad as before and the trimix may work. Anyone else had a similar situation?
70 yo, Living on Vancouver Island in BC, Canada. Venous leak, Then a PSA of 19.6, gleason 4+5. Radical non nerve sparing prostatectomy in Jan 2016 +radiation therapy fall 2016. Finally implanted with 15cm AMS LGX 700 w/2cm rte's, May 10, 2017.

I have no idea about this part, because i have ED from another cause. But you should definetly use the vacuum pump to induce an erection, even if you are not having sex you can try to maintain your penile size, otherwise you are going to get some serious shrinkage because of the operation and the lack of erections. I know that some members use the punmp, then inject, then pump again but use a constriction ring second time around and then are more successfull.

But in your situation in the long term, if you want to solve ED, you have to go the implant route. You have come to the right place. Welcome.

Freddy: Good luck to you.

FWIW: I had one of the two nerve bundles taken out during an RP in 2012, and I can't get a hard on at all or even close -- but Trimix does work well for me.

I had absolutely no ED issues before having cancer treatment. I'm pushing 66.
RP in 2012 because of prostate cancer. 100% ED, also some leakage problems.

Freddy,

It doesn't sound too good for your prospects with Trimix if it did not work and nothing else worked) before your prostate came out -- does sound like venous leak, but you never know .. might be a too weak Trimix prescription.

Be sure you know what the prescription strength will be .. or just ask for 20mcg PGE-1/30mg Pap/ 1 or 2mg Phent.

The pump should have worked no matter what your condition. But do you know what you are doing with the pump? what kind of pump ( a lot of them are crap)? and do you know about using cock rings (if you want to maintain the erection)? Too much to cover here -- lots already in the forums on Pumping.

Have you read everything on pumping on this forum yet?

Sounds like you might need to go the implant route if all else fails ...

RP 2008 ... MUSE 2008-9 .. TriMix Gel 2009 .. Trimix 2009-2015 ... PGE-1 2016-2019 ..Misoprostal 2019 Onward. All worked.
