difficulty reaching orgasm related to injections?

Postby surfguy » Wed Jan 27, 2016 3:42 pm

New to the site here. hello all! I've been using injections (Prostaglandin-E1 about 12mcgcc per injection) for about 18 months. I have no problem injecting. I love the certainty that I will quickly get an erection almost without fail and that it will be "durable" usually remaining for 1.5 to 2 hours before it fades. My wife loves it even more, though sometimes we have to quit as she is getting tender from such prolonged sex. For the first month using injections everything was just perfect. Then I began to experience difficulty reaching orgasm at all, especially from intercourse. My penis sort of goes numb after 45 to 60 minutes. My Urologist told me that it was "all in my head" and "just don't think about it". He felt that the certainty of getting erections that last meant there was no physical problem. In the several years I'd used Viagra the Cialis and before that I'd never had orgasm problems. Now the problem persists, maybe even worsening. It goes in cycles where I'm fine for 3 or 4 times then unable to cum from intercourse for several times in a row. I almost always can reach orgasm via masturbation (with my wife's help) after being unable to from intercourse, but usually with great difficulty. I always can cum when masturbating alone, though it often takes a long time (40 minutes or more) and very vigorous stroking, use of a a vibrator, etc. Could the cause be the injections? I'd love to hear from or chat with anyone who has had similar issues.

Same here - you're not alone. The last time I used it I thrusted away for 45 minutes and couldn't ejac. I was exhausted and so was my wife. I finally had to get on my back and then was able to with some very vigorous stimulation. Unfortunately my wife developed a very bad UTI after that and has been really shy about having intercourse now.

However, I've talked to several injectors and they've said the same thing...can't ejac and there's no erotic stimulation...just numbness.

My theory is that the mix causes such a solid erection that it pinches off nerves and over time may even damage them. I've also started doing foreskin restoration because i'm cut so tight that the injection causes my penis to hurt.

Hope this helps and if you'd like to discuss further pm me.

Thanks

Update.

For a while i've been over on the RestoringForeskin.org site and have been doing manual tugging techniques related to foreskin restoration. I started in January 2016 really doing tugging and have grown about a 1/4" of extra skin - this has helped tremendously with sensitivity. I only need 5 units of the basic trimix to give me a constant chub that instantly responds to touch and becomes solid and has plenty of feeling in the shaft. I also can feel my prostate getting excited and all the nice wonderful burn that goes with that - all of that wasn't there when i previously did injections. My suspicion was that I was so tightly circumcised that the erection induced by the trimix had no place to expand and giving it more skin remedied that completely. Also the erection pain i had with it is now gone.

I will continue to keep tugging as eventually i would like full coverage of my glans - tugging has increased sensitivity overall so i'm in it for the long run - and you can never have enough skin on mr. winky.

Glad you have made some results proven progress. I tried restoring around 1992-95. Never made any progress then learned my health was such there was no way it would grow any skin due to health conditions. Probably could now . A friend I met on a restoration site finished his in 18 months back about 10 years ago. He went to the doc to get his testopel implants last month and emailed me the doc told him while he had his pants down, "nice foreskin". Post implant I have so much loose skin now that it is almost a case of what to do with it all. I am seriously considering doing this tomorrow. I have antibiotic coated suture kits on hand and will have time to waste tomorrow. Worst case I can just pull the suture out . http://www.foreskinrestore.com/purse_string.html

There are a lot of guys on this forum who have had the same experience as you, I being one of them. I don't know what it is about the Trimix, theories abound, but bottom line there are a lot of guys on here who have the same difficulty. I am single and only see my lady once or twice a week. I have noticed if I haven't had sex in a week, I'm much more likely to cum during sex...In the beginning using Trimix there was not a problem until about a year into using it...Everyone's different, but there is something to what you brought up in your original post. Good Luck and Hang in!

I just wrote about this very topic over on the injection page a week ago. My penis was so hard last time I injected that I couldn't feel anything during intercourse. I was numb. Not a good place to be numb. I was hard as a rock and kept going at it, expecting an eventual orgasm, but got so sweaty and tired that I resorted to masturbating with difficulty as well. Reading other guys' posts leads me to believe that when my Trimix is new (which it was) I need to use a smaller dose, thus being less erect. I tried this as an experiment, without plans for sex, a few days ago and I think it might be the solution. I was still erect enough for entering, but not a steel rod. My hope is that sexual stimulation will add to my engorgement, yet still allow me to feel stimulation during thrusts.

Too hard to reach orgasm is a common complaint with over inflated implants also. Lesser dose of trimix makes sense. The injectables are something you need to use as low a dose that can be effective anyway.
1) to control cost, 2) to prevent priaprism which can actually happen any time, even if you have used it for months or years w/o issue, and 3) to keep your body from adjusting to it so quickly causing you to need to use higher doses to obtain the same quality erection.
Good luck with the lower dose!

Thanks to everyone who replied! I am now a few months into using much less Edex per injection (9-10 units, down from 16-18). Results very positive! similar response re: getting/keeping a hard erection. But am back to former sensitivity level and able to have orgasms in very good range of time, from maybe 10 up to 45 minutes or more...with great pleasure whether with partner or solo. i think it was someone I was chatting with on this site who suggested the lower dose. Saw my uro 3 days ago and told her about it and she said that it was something she's seen more in guys using Viagra, who take too large a dose and lose sensitivity and find it difficult to have orgasms. But that it would apply to injections as well. Lesson learned: less can mean more (sexual pleasure)! :D

I never got so hard from Trimix that I couldn't ejaculate. I've always had trouble ejaculating, even on Viagra and Cialis. My problem with the Trimix was that it quit working as well as at first. I am now considering an implant.

One thing that makes all the difference in the world for me is Yohimbine HCL. It can be ordered on the Internet, but is unavailable any longer as a prescription. I only take 250mg which is 1/2 of what one dose of the prescription would be. This seems to concentrate itself in the prostate and make orgasms easy.

Do read the side effects closely. It raises your blood pressure considerable for most of the day. It makes you anxious.
