Sure, this is a hot topic but I don't see a reason for it to be deleted... I mean, nobody was offended yet

Special interest groups don't preclude commonalities

I don't read anything in this discussion that JimBob (or anyone else) is trying to proselytize or that they don't want to interact with non-Christians. He's simply asking if there is a subset of guys who share a particular world view.

ED is a sexual issue. That's already highly personal. Religious beliefs often influence one's view on sexual issues. This is true regardless of whether someone belongs to a "fundamentalist" sect or "liberal" branch of that religion.

We already have special bulletin boards--one for gay members and one for younger members. That's because they have particular concerns about how ED affects their sex life. I'm older and straight, but I've had profitable interaction with gay members and young members here. I'm not offended if they ALSO want to huddle amongst themselves to discuss ED issues, sharing challenges unique to their group.

If Hasidic Jews want to discuss the challenges of ED in their context, I'm not offended. Or Sufi Muslims. Or whoever. We can still discuss the challenges and solutions that we find in common.
60's. Married. Occasional ED offset by a variety of methods (VED pumping, foreskin restoration, edging) with Cialis and/or pills sometimes for sex.

Makes no difference to most Christians.

Shall we focus on the heart of the matter, and not second-guess or judge the JimBob07's (the original poster) extraneous motives? He asked for the support of Christians. I doubt if he would reject the support of non-Christians of good will.

I believe the original poster meant to get to the heart of the matter that the Christian Bible refers to as the joining of a man and wife being God's plan to allow two to become one (see Mark 10:8 and Genesis 2:24 to start).

I believe the original poster was looking to receive our support for his search for consummation of congress with his wife and did not intend to disrespect anyone else's moral code, but to harmonize the teachings his Church may have given him about the purpose of sex with the true meaning of the Bible (sometimes the Church gets it wrong, you know).

I pray he finds here all the support we can muster, all the tolerance we have to share and enough support to believe that even non-Christians can be loving, generous, tolerant and kind.

Are we not all missionaries to our beliefs, Christian, Buddhist, Moslem, Jew, highly moral atheists, Anamists or whatever we are? Do we not want to support one another, especially in our common cause? We are all human beings and siblings in the human community and this here.

Nicely. Said Lost sheep and Josh!!!

This has always been the most non judgemental group I have ever found. I can think of many reasons for his post. The reason I keep coming back is the acceptance everyone can find here.

Nicely said.

If I post in a way that reveals a certain orientation or belief, anyone with similar beliefs etc. would answer. No need to first find out those who have similar beliefs like myself before discussing a thing like ED. There are some cultures and "subsets" of whom we know nothing about so why take the risk of upsetting them? It's much safer sticking to ED issues only ...

I'm with Josh_14_11. He hit the nail on the head. There is absolutely nothing wrong with someone, in this case, a Christian, to want to discuss ED with people of a similar mindset and faith. Same goes for gays or other groups. Many people feel more comfortable talking with people who share common beliefs. It's not trying to exclude anyone. There are boy scouts and there are girls scouts. There's no need to get offended and try to eliminate the difference between groups. Much of society has formed around special interest groups. This doesn't mean they shouldn't tolerate each other, though. They should be non-judgmental of each other as people and as a group.

Those who are offended by this post need to get the chip off their shoulder because something is obviously bothering you. Actions speak loudly.

Cool it everyone! There is nothing wrong with someone wanting to talk to a specific group or wonder if there's a specific group. We look at pictures of guy's penises and compliment their surgery for crying out loud!

This is a site where anything goes. No one should be offended by anything. There's a real simple solution. Don't respond.
