Does the use of blood thinners such as warfarin or coumadin make one inelligible for a penile implant? Also, if one has a penile implant, does this mean he can never take coumadin (or any other medication for that matter)?
Many thanks.

You need to stop taking blood thinners a few weeks before surgery. After you are healed it shouldn't matter.

Clarification: You need to stop taking blood thiners a few weeks before ANY kind of surgery. I am not aware of any prohibition against taking blood thinners after penile implant surgery--or any other, for that matter.

I take baby aspirin and I was told to stop one week before my surgery,
I am scheduled for surgery on 9/2/11. I stopped yesterday!
I had added this here because aspirin is a blood thinner also.
