Hello

Postby MARKOS2018 » Thu Aug 25, 2011 11:20 am

Hi,

Recently, I received a warm reply from the Administrator and I just want to say "Hello!"

I have been married for 37 years and my wife has been very supportive with all my health issues. My wife and I have an active lifestyle and we keep in shape at the local health club. After my kidney cancer and open heart surgery in 2000, I realized that our sex life was waning because of poor erections and of problems with maintaining an erection. I was diagnosed as having ED and my uro placed me on a low dose of viagra in 2004 to build up my confidence and to give me a firmer erection.

About 2 years ago, I was diagnosed with Peyronies and it seems like my world was turned upside down. Trying to keep my INR in check weekly, taking my meds and pumping the VED everyday to maintain a "healthy penis" seems too much to contend with. I have gone to a male sexual specialist but he gave me the doppler (I have had 2 and ended up with 4 hour erections); as a result, he said the blood flow was good for an erection and to come back when I needed an implant?

I don't know what is in store for me but I am happy to find this site knowing there are others going through similar problems. I hopefully exxxpect to be sexually active for a long time, seeing there are others out there having a great time---even in their 80's!

Glad to be here and I hope I can contribute something besides an "East Coast earthquake" mentality.

Mikesan,
Welcome to the FT clan, glad you are here. I trust you will be comfortable flitting around this place to see what is available for your needs. If not just ask questions as a post and somebody will respond. The chat room is usually a lively place, especially if you like to laugh and get quick answers. The flux of people who flow in and out of there is sometimes inconsistent so if you show up and don't find anyone, just hang around.

If you haven't yet looked at some fo the threads in the discussion forums, take a look. You'll find a bunch of topics you will quickly relate with and find how other men here have learned to cope with our delima.

Dave

Hope to be doing a lot of searching through the wealth of information by men who are experiencing similar issues. Already I know there is a lot of support from the members here.
