Well, I've just started cycling twice daily and it is quite sore and uncomfortable. I've only had solo sex with it but that was really, really good. I'm going to try it out on the missus when I feel like I'm ready. I don't want the pain of bending the angle on the thing to ruin the first experience and right now it's pretty sensitive to pointing different directions and it's tender at the base where the tubing is.

I have also posted this in the thread about "How many pumps" because it is appropriate there too.

I am 38 days post-op and still dealing with soreness. It is my understanding that one can have soreness up to three months as you cycle and stretch the penis out to its maximum length.

But, I am having an inconsistent number of pumps when I cycle. There are times I've pumped 50 times and still don't have a "marble" for a bulb. Last night, I pumped about 6-8 times and it was difficult to press the bulb and I had an erection! I am going to check more closely, but it seems I usually have about the same erection at 15 or 50 pumps.

Per doctor's instructions, I always wait a minute after inflation and then try to do just a few more to really stretch it out. This will help me regain length. I can usually tell a bit of added discomfort after those extra stretches with is a good indication.

But last night, after the 6-8 pumps I was able to start pumping again and do a lot more pumps. I didn't really see any difference in hardness but I could pump.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on? Oh, one other problem is that with so many pumps twice a day, my scrotum is getting kind of sore where I have to squeeze. Ouch.

Jon, as you know, im about 2 weeks behind you, and im watching your experience, to determine what is in store for me,
of course, we are in difference circumstances as well, you have a world renouned surgeon, i have my local urologist, your being activated
after only 4.5 weeks, my doctor is having me wait for 6 full weeks, these small differences i'm sure puts us on 2 differnent paths,
my numbness is subsiding, after going to my followup appointment this week, i was told this is normal, because, of the small nerves
in the scrotum where the incision was made cuts off these small nerves that do grow back, thus i regain the feeling i had lost (so my doctor told me), just as im sure, as you are, that your soreness will soon subside, hang in there.. your definetly ahead of me on this path
to regaining our abilities, and im really looking forward to it as well...

Thanks, David,

I'm sure you will do well. You are right, there are many different experiences depending on the person and the surgeon. I've heard of guys on here that were discharged from surgery with a full-on erection they kept it that way for some weeks. I can't imagine that.

Some doctors activate at two weeks, some go to four and for specific reasons, some wait till 6 or more. The doctor that my doctor sent me to for activation (too far to go back to Baltimore for a simple activation) has a different time table for intercourse than my doctor does. I would say if you think you're ready for activation at 4 weeks, ask your doctor if you can. Maybe he'd say yest.

Some guys have hardly any soreness and pain and some go a long time. It just varies.

But, most everyone on here seems to eventually do well, except for the ones whose doctors botched their surgery. I feel for those guys and wonder why they don't pursue a lawsuit, quite frankly.

I hope things go great for you.

Day 42 post op. Much soreness is gone. Still a bit of soreness because I inflate for 15 minutes and try to stretch as much as possible twice a day. It's quite tolerable. It doesn't seem like a lot of fluid is going into the cylinders, but it gets very hard and since the little guy is so small, I guess it doesn't take a lot of fluid. I have much greater sensitivity than before. That was a very unexpected benefit of the implant. I used to have to take medicine to orgasm. Viagra, Cialis, injections all got me erect but I had to supplement them to get an orgasm. Now I'm not having to so much. Here is my before pic and then several pics of day 42 from different angles. The lighting is different in one pic because I used flash.

I think you can only put up 3 pics at a time so I will follow this up with the rest of the pics:

I shared my day 42 pictures with my doctor and he was pleased. He said:

"Wow! It looks terrific, the difference between now and a couple weeks ago is just dramatic. The penis is really stretching out and things are starting to really lengthen and then loosen up. I feel very encouraged that you are just at the very early starting point of this process and you are already having rapid changes, I think the amount of stretch you have just looks terrific."

Now, of course, my doctor isn't going to say "That looks like crap" but I believe he was sincere and I am encouraged that I'm on the right track. I don't know too many doctors who would invite patient Emails this far into the process. I'm pleased.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Thanksgiving. Day 43 post op. I give it a try on my wife this morning with less than optimal results.

For many years I have had to take two medications for successful sex.

1. Cialis which produced an erection. (Later, injections that produced an erection). These eventually stopped working.
2. An herbal called Yohimbine HCL. I could take a small dose of 2.5mg and this would allow me to orgasm.

I'm not making this up and it is not psychological. I could have erections without the Yohimbine but couldn't orgasm to save my life. It was very frustrating.

I don't particularly like some of the side effects of Yohimbine:

1. Raised blood pressure for hours until the medicine wears off. (The Cialis counteracted this because it lowers BP).
2. Increased sense of anxiety, feeling uncomfortable most all day.
3. Inability to sleep at night if taken later than around noon.

After my implant, I notice increased sensitivity and was able to masturbate without Yohimbine, so I had my hopes up. However, this morning during intercourse it just didn't happen. I had to have more pressure to reach climax. I banged away like crazy without success. I'm actually a little sore right now.

Also, my wife and I agree I have a little loss of length, but I'm told by many of you and by my doctor that it takes about 6 months to get your length back. My doc even says I might get 20% more in a year. (I have an LGX).

I guess I'm going to have to experiment a bit. I will try a Cialis plus the implant to see if that provides enough blood flow to cause an orgasm. If not, then I'll try 1/2 capsule of Yohimbine HCL to see if that is enough. I'm hoping it is because when I take 2.5mg I climax really quickly, almost prematurely. So, maybe 1/2 dose will be just right and will provide less severe side effects.

Worst case scenario, I take both meds and with the implant am able to have intercourse again while putting up with the side effects. That will be more difficult the older I get, though.

Wish me luck, guys. Happy Turkey day.

P.S.-I hit it pretty hard this morning and I'm sore!!
