Glad you have the amount your doctor wants you to try right! i was alarmed at the amount you mentioned in earlier emails. Frank Talk to the rescue, again! I've been injecting for 2 years, with generally good results. Best part is knowing for sure that I will get an erection each time, and that it will last. My urologist started me out, in her office with 8 units (units as on the syringe) and instructions to try 20 units if that wasn't enough. it wasn't quite so I tried 20. 4 hours later, past midnight, I was on the phone to my doc asking her what to do about the erection that wouldn't quit and was starting to be painful. She said I should take a 4 pill dose of Sudafed, which got it down quite quickly. No E.R. needed! After that i tried 12 units and that has been fine.
Do be sure that you wait long enough between injections.... 24 hours minimum between injections and no more than 3X a week were my instructions and I've had no problems, pain or other, since. have "cheated" to 4 shots a few times, also with no ill effects. Don't try to take a second shot while the first is still present. Priapism is not fun!
Best of luck. I look forward to hearing how it goes.

surfguy,
Yes your so right! Frank Talk to the rescue!! man I'm so glad a found this website! I've been pumping since my surgery this passed Feb. and on my last visit to see the doc he asked how I was doing with the pump, I told him it was alright but still working the kinks out time wise. That's when he told me about the Trimix, I told him I had read about it and knew it was a mixture of sorts but that was about it. He brought me up to speed on it so we decided to give it go! you pretty much know the rest of the story, the 5 unit test shot and the 3 syringes that he fixed for me I've got a script for 10cc vial with syringes etc. but haven't been to pharmacy yet, that's another issue too! doc told me where they get theirs in case I wanted to go there...you know the hole mixture thing..anyway I've got the 3 shots for now and will give 15 unit a go and see how it works out, but before it happens I'll make sure I've got some Sudafed on hand just in case! Don't need a trip to the ER! I will make sure I wait the 24 hrs and no worries on the 3X a week these days lucky to get 1X but hey that could change!! Thanks again for all the info and I will absolutely be here to report in on how it goes!!

Best of luck with your next attempt. Worth getting some Sudafed as an insurance policy. Make sure you get the original Sudafed not the slow release version. When you fill your script, I strongly recommend that you get 1 ml 30g 1/2 inch syringes rather than 27g - 30g are much thinner and much easier and less painful when you inject.
80 year old Type2 diabetic, long term ED, pills then injections PGE1. After 4 years they became less effective. Implanted 20/3/2018 by NHS. AMS 700 CX 15+4 cm with MS pump. Never had any significant pain. Still working perfectly and used regularly.

Did your Uro tell you what your formula is? Anything showing what amounts of the three ingredients of Tri-Mix. I started out with a moderate formula (Prostaglandin5.9 mcg; Papaverine 17.65mg; Phentolamin0.59mg) at 40 units. This caused a very long and painful erection. I then went down to 20 units of a different formula (about 1/2 the strength) and was about 8 out of 10 stiffness for an hour. I now use 25 units to give me the best results for an hour. Having said that, as long as you keep the Sudafed handy you should be fine. I would also suggest crushing it and dissolving it in water if you need to take it. My Uro gave me injectable Sudafed that I had to inject into my penis when I first started. That took it down in 5 minutes.
Suffered with ED for most of my life. Viagra then to Trimix then implanted 3/8/2018 with AMX 700 CX 21cm with 1cm RTE. 50 years old Urolift procedure performed 30 day prior to my implant surgery.

P7777,
Haven't been to pharmacy yet since I have the 3 syringes, but this is one of those unanswered questions I need to get answered! I will go tomorrow and find out what the mixture is and cost and report back! I've got to pickup the Sudafed also while I'm there and ask to see if I can get the 30g syringes too. Planning to use the 15 unit at the next opportunity.

Re: 2nd injection
OK, so 5 units gave a so so response. Go right to 15 units (what I use). If that doesn't provide FIRM erection, then keep going UP until it's FIRM. Also depends on strength of trimix used.
My erections last 5 hrs..but not painful. I no longer worry about the Erection *TIME* as many others do here....not concerned unless it's over 8hrs (never happened), since 6 hrs is defined as PRIAPISM by drug companies and resolution should take place within 2 hrs of that. The *FOUR HOUR* mantra was made to cover drug co ASS and still allow time for treatment (2 more hours). Ideally you want a maximum firm erection that lasts 2 hrs, but I can't have MAX Firm and have it last only 2 hrs. I guess everyone is different. Good luck.

Re: 2nd injection
Sorry for the delay again! I did make by the Pharmacy but didn't find out much other than the vial/syringes were $112.00. I told her go ahead and fill the script and I'd pick it up after work "My thought the amounts will be on the vial or paperwork" . Well picked it up and no info just the the vial and syringes no info on the mixture amounts. So I'll call and find out tomorrow. They Also gave me 28g syringes.....here's a pic of package

Re: 2nd injection
It's really strange that they don't publish the formula of the tri-mix.
When I get my syringes at Walmart, they come as 29gauge, 1/2" 1/2cc/ml.
Maybe 30gauge /12 inchers are rare?
Somehow, you have to find out what the formula you're using is.
