First Coitus with V.E.D.

Postby Lost Sheep » Wed Nov 30, 2016 2:05 am

I have been using a Vacuum Erection Device for a couple of weeks now for conditioning of my penile tissues preparing for an implant. I just recently used the constriction ring for coitus for the first time.

Having experienced soft (too soft for penetration) erections for some time, the experience of being able to enter my lover was ...(my vocabulary fails me here). Revalatory is one word that comes to mind and revelatory is another. ("reveal" vs "revel")

While it was difficult to keep my penis inside her because there is no stability below the constriction ring, we were able to maintain contact and thrusting for a longer time than I have in recent history (for a LONG time). The experience of "normal" coitus was was WONDERFUL.

As I also have ED-induced PE, my (learned) habit of thrusting energetically enough to maintain an erection was also (as usual) enough to bring me to climax rather too quickly.

In this case, my lover nearly orgasmed from coital stimulation alone (albeit prepared by some foreplay) but my early climax stopped that. I experienced a slight loss of rigidity that precluded continued thrusting, and my post-orgasm concentration was impaired, else I might have been able to continue for her.

Note: Though I THINK I was able to hold off much longer than usual, my sense of the passage of time may be suspect here.

The comments I have read on this forum and elsewhere about lack of spontaneity when using a VED are validated by this one experience. It is a "Catch-22" situation.

1) If we engage in foreplay sufficient to prepare her for quality coitus, interrupting the foreplay to pump up and engage the constriction ring is problematic.

2) If we do the VED and constriction ring before beginning foreplay, it puts a time limit on the foreplay, which inhibits ability to relax, and mine. (I refer to the 30 minute limit on use of the constriction ring).

We prefer not to have time limits, restrictions, or goals in our love-making.

So, If you pump up after foreplay, you interrupt the foreplay and risk destroying the mood. If you pump up before foreplay you put a stopwatch on the foreplay. Neither approach is optimal for relaxed intimacy.

So, I have verified by my own experience what I have read in many places: VED's are NOT conducive to spontaneity and barely satisfactory for E.D.

But slightly better than nothing.

p.s. Yes, it does pinch and it does help to have all extraneous pubic hair trimmed extremely short and the skin lubricated.

This was our experience also. We used it twice, and both times it worked, after a fashion, but my wife hated it - said it felt like a hot dog right out of the fridge - and I didn't like it either. It was a lot of work and really not pleasurable at all - we decided that no sex at all was preferable to the VED. I've read accounts of guys who say VED's are great, but I find that hard to believe.

We did not find the penis to be cold, but that might be because we did not pump up and put the constriction ring on until just before we coupled. That kept the time under constriction to a minimum, so minimized the loss of temperature in the appendage.

However, stopping foreplay to pump up is distracting, to say the least.

On the other hand, she did mention that I was starting to turn a little purple, so I take your preference to eschew the V.E.D. to heart. Having to choose between cold dick vs interrupting sex and, on top of that, turning odd colors do not make intimacy very relaxing.

p.s. letting the constriction ring snap into place was scary the first time, but easing it off the pump cylinder one side at a time (the other side quickly followed by itself even though I had the handle firmly gripped) was not as traumatic as getting the ring off.

If we had not trimmed my pubic hair (VERY) close, it would have been even worse. Getting a firm grip on the constriction ring handles was tough, what with the lube and all. Had there been pubic hair involved too, it would have been a REAL trial.

One thing that helped removal was that I threaded some strings through the constriction ring handles. Pulling the strings (one on the left and one on the right) made it easier to open up the ring to get it off. Four strings would have been even better, we could have stretched out the constriction ring into a square instead of just a skinny oval. Removing it would have been easier with the four tension points, but certainly would have required both of our pairs of hands.

After viagra failed and Trimix became ineffective, the VED is the only method I currently have available to generate an erection. I am a bit older so the 30 minute time limit is not an issue. My errections are harder than my pre ED erections and my girth is now about an inch bigger than my pre ED erections.

Perhaps, because we have been enduring increasing ED problems over the past 20 years, we do not find the process of pumping and constricting to be that off putting. When you only have one way to generate a strong errection, you find a way to make it part of your routine. Accordingly, I get to use my VED four or five times a week.

Although my wife thoroughly enjoys my bigger, harder erection, I find that the loss of sensitivity and the constriction makes it difficult sometimes to orgasm. However, we are much better off with the VED than without it.

Good to hear you're having success with the VED. My wife and I both disliked it so much that we gave up sex altogether, but apparently you are able to make it work for you.

Well, just the one time. The jury is still out. Discontinuing sex is not an option for us right now, but whether or not to use this device as part of our sex life is undecided.

Thanks for your input. It helps to know how others have experienced this.

My wife and I had somewhat the same experiences as some have stated here. Before I went to Tri-Mix and after all of the oral medications failed to work any more we tried the VED route. It was a total failure. I went to my urologist with my hat in my hand and he suggested the Tri-Mix. It worked for awhile but eventually worked only less then half the time.
So, that is when my URO told me it was time for a implant. It's been 2 years now and we have enjoyed the best sex we have had in many years. My only regret is I didn't do it much sooner.
I have the AMS 700 series LGX.
80 yrs. Married 60 years. Hypertension but under control with meds.

ED since 1995. Viagra then switched to Cialis. Both quit working.
Was on Trimix. Tri-Mix quit working. Implanted by Dr. Novak Grand Rapids, Mi 12/16/2014 AMS LGX

Apparently, my next step will be an implant, but as long as we enjoy pumped up/constricted sex, I will bear with the inconvenience of the VED. Sex is an important part our life style so I will not let a little inconvenience get in the way. When it is no longer enjoyable with A VED, I will consider an implant.

Sheep,

The thing with a V.E.Device is, right out of the box they have pretty piss-poor accessories. The silicone rings are crap .. and of course you have no penile sleeve to help with the swivel-joint. And at first pumpings willie is just not used to such hardness levels so it can be pretty uncomfortable and the need to pump and release thru the pain to get to max erection takes some practice. With all that it is no wonder guys try it once or twice and quit.

For you it probably is not worth getting the good rings (Osbon) and a nice Penile Sleeve and even the correct cylinder size and stuff like that since you are only using til Implant Time. I've had a pump for 5 years now and have maxed it out with an oversize tube .. osbon rings .. penile sleeve and If I want to use it can get a really good pumped erection.

Even with all that it is still not as good as Trimix E's. But sometimes when I just want something quick will use the pump. Certainly there's no harder erection possible than with a pump, although in the old days when Trimix really really worked well I would get rock hards too but they were a nuisance to get em to go down.

I had submitted a bunch of images on osbon rings and penile sleeves and some good pumped shots - but with the restart of the website all the pictures are gone -- that stinks. I still have the pix so may add them back soon.

One last thing .. on pumpus interruptus .. when I was pumping I just had the Missus being the cheerleader saying Pump UP! Pump UP! Go! Go! Goooo! Oooing and Ahhing as it went up and tapping on the tube and all kinds of encouragement. It was fun.. So don't just have her laying there waiting and cooling off .. go go go!

J
RP 2008 ... MUSE 2008-9 .. TriMix Gel 2009 .. Trimix 2009-2015 ... PGE-1 2016-2019 ..Misoprostal 2019 Onward. All worked.

When I was pumping, my wife said, "Oh no, not that damn thing again. Forget it, bub."
