An erection could give you away, reveal your inner most thoughts, or simply act on its own for no rhyme or reason. That hardness had to be hidden at all cost. Most of us have this serious surgery know as a penal prosthesis implant hoping to 'function' like a man again. Every blog has 'well meaning' contributors who tell you what a stupid mistake was made in choosing a surgeon, RTEs, type of incision or brand of implant. This forum is also a vital means of, POSITIVE reinforcement. Here to sympathize with and encourage men who bravely undertook this surgery with all it's risks and favorable or not so favorable results. I was fortunate. I have had no complications and I thank God for that.
Was it my choice of Urologist (surgeon)? Brand of implant? Use of RTEs? Only time will tell. Everyone is uniquely different but we all want the same thing and we all appreciate 'brotherly' concern.

Learned something new. If your pump goes flat, try a quick squeeze. If that doesn't refill, press the deflate but don't hold it. Works for me, Pump fills up every time.

For quite a while at first I was having to pump so many times and the pump squeezed fairly easily and all the way "wall to wall." Dr. Knoll said that it shouldn't take that many times and that you don't need to pump wall to wall, just give it a squeeze, then give it another squeeze, etc. He affirmed that once you are pumped up, the bulb will get hard. Hmm, why wasn't this happening to me?

Well, my apparatus is a bit high so I have to really reach up there to get my fingers on the tubing for stabilization. For some reason, I began making sure I only grabbed the tubing. Prior to that as I grabbed the tubing my finger would sort of rest against the edge of the deflate valve.

When I made the change and got my finger completely off the edge of the deflate valve, VOILA, My initial pump was very firm and they stay like that. By about 10 pumps the bulb is hard and if I really try I can pump in 15.
