Hello , I am 62 and had radical prostate surgery ( robotic surgery ) last year about Oct 2016 , you right about being in the right place to ask Questions , there alot of knowledge here , and i to did alot of research on the internet . Ask your Doctor if he has anything on penile rehab , I to use the pump daily and take 5 mg of Cialis daily . i also use 12 units of Trimix it works for me , When I get my syringes at Walmart, they come as 30gauge, 5/16 , good luck , let us know if this info helps

Yes! thanks so much for the info! I too have spend a massive amount of time on the internet, Feb will be a year for me since my surgery and like you use the pump and have used some of the pills, I tried taking the 5mg Cialis but had to stop due to severe back pain bad enough that it kept me up at night and had me sleeping on a hot pad and finally had to quit. I kept on with the pump every other day for rehab and on my last doc visit I we talked about how the pump was working out and also about 5mg Cialis and from that he asked me if I had heard about the injections, I told him yes I had read about the different types Bimix Trimix caverjet etc. The doc recommended the Timix and asked if I wanted to try a test injection to see how I would respond and it worked pretty good! for 5units! Just did my 2nd injection last night so I'll follow this post with the outcome! Thanks again C for the input!

2nd Injection results!

As planed and with some Sudafed on hand I used the 15 unit syringe that the docs office fixed up for me. I hope I the details don't make everyone crazy but I thought I would follow thru what I did just in case I missed doing something important so here goes. I went to the frig and got my injection making sure it was the 15 unit since I also had a 20 and 25. I went back to the bathroom and fixed up a place to lay my stuff down and got out the alcohol wipes next up I washed and dried my hands took the syringe out and double checked to make sure it was filled properly with 15 units that checked I put it back down and got a wipe and clean my injection site then picked up the syringe pulled the protective cover off and since this was "my" first time a I had to kinda get the handle on how to hold my penis right and position the needle right and then push it in then push the plunger down. "No problem" ! with that done I looked at my watch it's 8 pm, within a few minute things were working and by the 15 mark I felt semi-firm but not hard but good enough to make it work, so away we went and it was alright but difficult still just firm and by 9:10 I was back to normal and it was over......1 hour 10 min....I'm so glad the Trimix is working and I'm going to take it slow! So next up is 20 units already prepared for me at the docs office. Am I heading in the right direction everyone? Did I miss doing something in the preparation? I'll be heading to the Pharmacy tomorrow to find out what the mix is too, I'd like to know!

Only suggestion I could give is I was told to inject it slowly to have less chance of developing peronies. I have no idea if that works since 1/2 what we are told seems opinion or theory. Glad it worked!

Do you mean to actually push the plunger slowly, or push the needle in slowly?
I was getting pretty concerned pushing the needle in slowly and was bending them every time on the left side, and often times on the right.
Somehow, I decided to get the needle started and when it was partly in, give it a swift jab or two to get it in as far as it'd go.
So far, no more bent needles.

One thing that's important is to really look for veins and try to miss them.
On my left side, I have many veins and it's hard to find a clear spot.

As I may have posted, I use 25mg of generic Viagra to plump up before injecting.
I get almost a complete erection before shooting.

I realize not everyone can use that routine though.

I find injections are simple but complicated. When I was 16 I did better because everything worked automatically.

One trick I learned on here was to minimize misfires (Not hitting the corpus cavernosum). Once I inject I pull back on the plunger just a tiny bit to see if I get any blood in the syringe. If I see a little blood I shoot it on in. If no blood, there is a good chance that I have missed the spot and I either need to press the needle in a bit further or take it out and reinject. If I need to reinject, I remove the needle out very slowly as sometimes I will see the blood show up once I start pulling it out. Again once I see blood I'm good to inject.

Well guys my 3rd injection was a complete failure...20 units following the same steps as before, after I injected I did have some results, but not good enough for sex and within an hour of the injection my penis was back to normal. The injection I used was one of the syringes prepared at the docs office and is about 2 months old. Thoughts anybody? Did I miss maybe? When I injected I failed to pull the plunger out a tiny bit to see if I was in the right spot looking for a little blood. I also have a new vial of trimix should I just chunk my last syringe my doc gave me and use the new? Now I have to wait right at least 24 hrs before I try again. I've got to figure out what happened ....the looks I got killed my confidence....I wanted so bad to use my pump but your not suppose to am I right? No pumping after an injection....wonder why? Anyway better days ahead I hope!

It was prepared at office 2 months ago, but how OLD was it then and how was it stored prior and after you got it? I'm of the opinion it must be FROZEN at all times or it will deteriorate rapidly...even if in the frig (not frozen) for several months.
I would try the new mixture and up the dose by 5 units until you get a good response. Make sure you FREEZE the new vial! Good luck.
