Clomid or Clomiphene to boost your T's
Re: Clomid or Clomiphene to boost your T's
... and reporting on it?
It's too expensive for me to do a full test but I intend using it at 12.5mg daily for a month and 12.5mg on alternate days for another three months. Would love guys to post a lot more about it.
Thanks Nowhard for opening this thread ...

In Canada it is a rip off, even though generic. They charge $160 for (20) 50mg pills.
Luckily for me, I have quite a few friends from India and requested they bring me back generic Clomiphene Citrate- in India, it is known as Fertomid. Works the same, proven by bloodtests, except Fertomid from India costs a few bucks for a month supply.
I know All Day Chemist sells Fertomid, but they do not ship to Canada. They do however, ship to USA.
31 Years old. ED since I was 15/16. Diagnosed with hypogonadism/venous leak at 31. On Clomid/Arimidex mix for HRT. Cured for a week then it stopped. In process to find a solution. Lifelong nightmare but I waited a decade + to get help.

I'm not sure what you or Dr John mean. I agree that to get a "true" reading of your natural estrogen levels, you probably do have to be off Clomid for that period of time. However, I did get my blood results prior to Clomid and I had lower then normal estrogen (likely due to having lower then average testosterone). Upon starting Clomid, my estrogen levels went 3x out of the high range and I felt worse then ever. Really, it's a common side effect of Clomid in men. Clomid causes excessive LH and FSH (both LH and FSH went way out of the high range for me as well) which tell the testicles to start more testosterone production- all excess testosterone production converts to estrogen thru a process known as aromatase (which is why many men try to use anastrozole- generic or armidex-brand name, a breast cancer anti-estrogen drug) to stop Estrogen from getting crazy while on Clomid.
I can certainly confirm Clomid caused my insane estrogen levels. Once I tapered down to 12.5 mg a day they gradually started to go back towards normal, but 25 or 50 per day is way too much Clomid for someone with secondary hypogonadism alone. You can search "Estrogen and Clomid in men" and find hundreds of other stories exactly like mine re Clomid/Estrogen.
Anyways, really happy to hear it makes you feel better. For everyone else, Clomid is used for hypogonadism (secondary) aka low testosterone, resulting from an underactive or faulty pituitary- not primary testicle failure (primary hypogonadism).
