JB's implant journal
Re: JB's implant journal
Thanks, Jim. Never dreamed I'd have to have a revision because Kramer is of such good reputation. But Knoll is a good reputation too and he says he can fix it, no problem. I appreciate the prayers.

Re: JB's implant journal
Well, it's done. I haven't talked with Dr. Knoll yet but he spoke with my wife but all she got was "relocation." So, I don't know the details yet.
They kept me in recovery quite some time because I couldn't urinate so they called Knoll and he instructed them to put in a catheter and I should see him in his office at 9:00 tomorrow morning.
I am considerably sorer than I expected. I figured the only soreness would be at the incision, but I am also internally sore plus you know how I hate catheters!! He must have done some serious rearranging in there.
I'm filling the scrip for hydro 7.5 and Keflex, then it's on to the motel.
That is my report. Thanks.

Dr. Knoll said it would be 4 weeks before I can use it. Dr. Kramer thought it would be more like 1 week. As sore as I am tonight, the 4-week estimate may be more accurate. We will find out.
I am just glad to feel a third nut hanging down in the middle of my nut sack!! Yah!!

Morning after the revision
Well,
It's the morning after the revision surgery and this brings back memories of the original procedure. I remember being so uncomfortable with the catheter in and I am again. Hate that part of this.
I'm not sure how the swelling stacks up against the original surgery because I had virtually no swelling, but I've compared pictures from back then and they look similar.
Here are pics from the original procedure and I'll put the newest pics in the next post (Can't put them all in one post due to limitations of Franktalk.

Re: JB's implant journal
OK. Here are the pics this morning after revision. There is some similarity and I think there's a little swelling. The nutsack seems rather full. But hopefully, I'm not going to have to go through that "grapefruit" business that some guys talk about.
I will report back after talking to Dr. Knoll this morning. I should know what all he did at that point. For now, here are the pics:
What do you all think?

Looking good, JB. I remember those post-implant cathetered days, and I'm glad they are over. Hang in there, brother.
