Hey guys,
I had my revision surgery a week ago today with Dr. Knoll in Nashville. I didn't have a lot to report because I hadn't talked to him personally and the email system for their clinic has been broken about ten days. He spoke with my wife, but she didn't really understand much.
I met with him yesterday in person. He was very nice and thorough. He told me what he did, how he did it and why he did it. What I had expected to be a simple procedure turned out to be fairly involved. Perhaps he could have cut a couple tubes and spliced in some more, but that is not what happened and I must say I was pleased and felt really good about what he told me. I didn't particularly want splices or extra tubing floating around. The final result remains to be seen, but based on what I heard, I'm expecting good things. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
First of all, he determined I do not have an LGX as I thought. I have a 3.0 RTE on each cylinder. My AMS card says I have a 700 CX with 3.0 RTE so it appears the card is correct. I had thought I may have gotten the wrong card. This means I won't have as much improvement with length

but the CX is better at dealing with Peyronies which I had. So, I'm straight.
Now, I won't be able to use the medical terms but here is a nutshell summary of the procedure:
He cut a new incision lower in the scrotum because of the location where the pump was to end up. The tubes from the cylinders and reservoir were partially nested in the corpora along with the implant. This was keeping the tubing higher up the penis and they were in the way of intercourse and hurt. They also pulled the pump right up against the penis when inflated and that too hurt.
He made a small opening in the corpora and was able to remove the concealed part of the tubes. This got the tubes off the side of my penis and allowed him to lower the pump to the very back bottom of the scrotum. He stitched back the corpora and stitched the pump in place so there's no chance of migration.
There was some sort of sac or casing that grows around the pump as it heals. He had to remove that and also had to deal with scar tissue to get everything relocated, plus making small incisions in the corpora. THIS is why I have so much swelling. I don't have a hematoma. I have something else but I can't remember the medical term. If any of you want to know what it's called, let me know. I'll look it up.
He helped me feel the various parts of the implant in its new location and it looks like it will be placed away from any interference with intercourse, low and in the back.
He told me I should now stop icing and start doing two 15 minute warm baths a day. I go back in a month.
He worked me into a very busy schedule, the only day he would be in the office this week. I was very grateful because I really wanted to know what he'd done and why I was so swollen. I left the office with another script for pain medication.
I'm including last night's pics which show how much the scrotum is swollen front to back. I will, of course, keep you all posted with pics as things heal. Below this post, I'll put a jpg of the surgery report. I hope it will be legible.
Like Dr. Kramer told me, after this procedure things should be perfect. Let's hope so!!!
