Thanks a lot for your Post!!! I will have surgery with Dr Eid next week, and your word meant a lot to me.

Hey Bob --

Sounds like a great outcome so far! I've read quite a few reports on this and another forum, and it seems like post-surgery recovery with Dr Eid is often much easier than with many others.

Bob,

Congrats on the surgery and your report seem to indicate your recovery is stellar. You're still early in the process of recovery, so don't get too comfortable or impatient and move to fast. Even if you are relatively pain free, keep in mind a lot of work was done. There are sutures inside as well as out that need time to heal before you put too much stress/strain/stretch on them.

Keep up the great reports. There will be those who follow you who will be strengthened and blessed by them.

Peace,

ScotK

jerryc129 wrote:Great news Bob, I had two exams with Dr. Eid and planning on surgery in early 2012. Could I ask what tests like ekg, blood, etc. were required before surgery? thanks

Jerry,

I had to get the EKG, CBC blood test, Echocardiogram ( extra-due to my heart murmur), fill a bunch of prescriptions for antibiotics/pain meds etc. Also he has you wash the area with Hibicleanse surgical soap for 3 days in advance. Detailed instruction are provided. The worst test of all was the bladder scope Dr Eid does the late afternoon before (for me), painful but over pretty quick. He then injected me and did the sonogram to look at the internal structure. He found that one of the two arteries in my Penis was very, very small compared to the other...he said this was very rare but explains why I have had these issues from a young age. His staff is fantastic, they were all still there at 7:00pm the night before just for me until all the tests were done! So glad I went to him instead of using the local option...

It is great to hear the good reports, isn't it? But just a note to encourage all the implant guys to post their experiences--good or bad. We certainly need to hear about the problems. And we cringe a bit (sometimes a lot), when we here the accounts of the implants or implant procedures that have 'gone wrong.' But we need to hear these stories as well as the encouragement of the successes, because it gives those who come next, like you, the opportunity to gather more information and learn what to ask and what is to be expect.

But it is good, and yes, encouraging, to keep in mind that, overall the successes certainly out number the guys who have experienced setbacks.

All the best,

ScotK

Thanks Bob, that bladder scope doesnt sound like a good time. Do we all have to go thru that?

Hi Bob,

very happy to read about your positive results so far, I hope the future continues in the same vein. I live on Long Island and am considering an implant so getting an appointment with Dr Eid is in my near future. I was relieved to see that you seemed to have no significant loss of length or girth which is the only reservation I have regarding the whole procedure. I'm also delighted to hear of your satisfaction with the doctor. I would love to contact you and talk personally about your experiences when we get the opportunity.

I hope every day shows continued improvement....

Yes, it is required by Dr. Eid before surgery. It is to check for bladder tumors and make sure there will be no issues with the catheter during the surgery. It is over pretty quick at least :D

Every day getting better...still some shaft soreness, but it has only been one week at this point. Taking minimal Advil when it gets noticeable. Next up is getting the stitches removed next week. So far pretty easy recovery, but looking forward to using the new toy in another couple of weeks :D
