need advice through this process

Postby Dee538 » Thu May 11, 2017 11:18 am

Hello,
I'm a new registered member as of today. Thank you for accepting me into this group. I am 45 years old. I've been looking at this site for advice. I ended up getting the Coloplast Titan XL 29cm penile implant. The date of Surgery was April 28, 2017. I'm in recovery stage now. I'm a little worried now 13 days in and I don't know what to expect. I think I'm a little paranoid that something is wrong with my implant. I came to this site to ask questions and get advice for some of the things I'm going through now. Hopefully some of you can help me through this process. Thanks for any replies and advice.

Dee, welcome to the Bionic Brotherhood.

29cm! Was any of your ancestors a horse?

Seriously, at 13 days all you need to be concerned about is that it is getting better each day. Who did the surgery? When will you be activated? Bruising and scrotal swelling are quite normal. Ice is your friend until the swelling is gone. Did the surgeon leave you partially inflated. If so, that's good but it's a pain in the, er, penis. You are going to love the Titan.

Hang in there, I'm sure your post will attract a bunch of helpful comment.

You are just now passing through the stage where you ask why the hell did I do this. Give it time. With a schlong that size you likely have truck tire inner tubes inside. Be patient and heal well. Best of luck to you.

I'm really concerned because I don't think I'll be able to pump it up or deflate it. I feel around for the bulb and it's really hard I'm afraid to try and cycle through. I had the surgery in Dubai by a Dr. David Ralph from London. It was a master class workshop going at the time and I was referred to get it done there by my doctor due to the size ( 28cm +1cm extender) I was partially inflated for the first week. Then my Doctor deflated me after 9 days and the pain was intense and I'm kind of scared to to try and cycle through. My doctor told me I can start cycling through but I have not got the hang of it. After deflation when I lay down its flaccid but when I get up it feels it gets hardened forwards the top of the penis. Now it's a curvature to the left never had that before and at the top it's starting to bend under never had that before. And I'm worried it's going to stay like that and I won't be able to pump it up. The bulb seems really hard to pump and the release button is hard to locate. I have another follow up with my doctor in two weeks I am waiting until then to have the Doctor cycle me through and really show me how to use the pump device. Wondering will all this pass once inflated. Thank you all for replying cause I'm wondering did I make the right choice. I hope to continue talking with this community on this topic as I go through this.

I don't have an implant, but many men have reported difficulty finding and manipulating the pump and valve until after swelling is resolving or resolved. Relaxing the scrotum in a hot bath is said to help loosen thins up. Adhesions may also make life difficult for you until they let go. Massage your testicles to keep track of progress. Some surgeons stitch the pump down so it does not wander around inside you too much. The operating report might tell you some information.

I opine there is nothing unusual happening in your scrotum. Time will provide relief.

Mr Ralph (they call Doctors Mister in England) is reputed to be among the best in the world. You are fortunate to have had him availabe for your procedure. Can you contact him by email with your questions if your local guy is unsatisfactory in his answers?

About the bending of your penis, though, I have no helpful thoughts. Sorry.
