How long does tip hurt when inflated?

Postby dmikesaw » Fri Oct 21, 2011 1:29 am

When I full inflate my penis the right cylinder tip hurts/stings (the left side doesn't however because the left tip doesn't extend to the glans). How long will this pain/burn continue? By the way, it stops as soon as I deflate a little bit. Also, can I expect my left cylinder tip to ever "catch up" with my right cylinder tip?

These question should really be asked of your doctor.
He is after all the "Expert". You paid him, or will have, a lot of money.
I would think he would be more than happy to help you out.
Best of luck and good wishes!

I am interested in what other implantees hae experienced with this, not what the doctor thinks. But thanks anyway for your suggestion.

Not 100% sure, but it sounds like stretching pain. I had really bad stinging at the tip until my body got used to the implant going up and down. And since you said it stops when you deflate, I really think its skin stretching. It will go away with time and use.

When I first got my implant, I noticed that one side seemed longer than the other. I then started exercising my implant by inflating it extremely hard until I couldn't force any more fluid into the cylinders. It hurt, burned, and stung. I left it inflated that way for as long as I could stand it, and then deflated. I did this several times most days, and still do except not recently due to a pump revision a few days ago. I noticed that my penis started getting wider from half-shaft up towards the head and eventually my penile shaft became equal in width along the full length of my penis. I also found that the cylinders had worked their way up into the glans very deep and they were of equal length.

All this took place over about a years time, so my advice is to exercise your parts regularly, and be patient... Good Luck...

When I talked to my uro today, he told me with the LGX, I would have to cycle it sooner than the others. I told him no problem, of course. Will be interesting to see if I have the same situations you mention below.

I am so glad you started this thread because it is my problem exactly! Pain in the glans and girth as well and one tip is not as far forward in the glans as well when I pump it up as much as I can stand. My question is, what is the longest length of time that anyone has experienced pain in their penis after pumping it up? A month or two or maybe even a year? I would really like to know what the longest I can expect to experience this pain???

I have had my Coloplast Titan (my third implant) for over two years, and realized that the cylinders were not the same length and that they extended into my head really far. I have seen two uros (Eid, being one) who both told me that I risk "erosion" because the tips extend too far. I am NOT going to have another revision, and just go along day to day. Intercourse is often really uncomfortable. My wife is not really interested anyhow, so now the only thing positive is that masturbation is still totally comfortable and totally satisfying. Not much help, I know, but I wonder if there are others who find that masturbation is the answer? Bill

I have the same concerns about being too deep into the glans and erosion too. I've have 8 different uro doctors since the implant but no one has ever said anything about it being too far into the glans (but I never posed the question either). How far is too far in your opinion. Mine is about 1/4" to 1/2 from the absolute tip.

I would have another revision or as many as needed to get the best possible outcome. My wife lost interest in sex (with me) after the initial procedure because it caused pain, and wouldn't penetrate properly.

Sex after the revision is a different matter so far. She claims it now feels 100% perfect and just like it was before ED set in on me years ago. She reports no pain and says the pain was turning her off to sex. In her words it is now the best sex she's had since we got married (when she was loving it). I fully expect a return of strong sex drive for her now. No doubt for me, I'd do as many revisions as it takes to get it optimal.

I think the tip pain lasted about a month, during which time I waited to test drive it. I was/am on an hour per day of inflation "break-in" schedule. After the tip and various shaft twinges stopped then it was replaced ( or maybe I didn't notice before) an aching deep down where the cylinders extend into my body or another way of saying deep in the base. I still have this pain after 30 or 45 minutes of inflation, especially if i refill a couple of times after the first pumping, I am 10 months out. Where the tip pain was a stinging buring sensation the aching is not a deal breaker and if i just inflate once, it is hardly a problem. My tips seem about prefect to me, they go into the glans but don't seem like the are trying to come out the end and the are the same lenght. Maybe after a while your too long cylinder will settle further into it's pocket in your body. About all you can do for now is keep Inflating and see what happens. Mine is an LGX.
