Type of VED to buy

I am in the pre-implant stage and want to do some VED therapy to help maintain size and prevent atrophy. I have never shopped for one of these devices but did read where someone recommended getting the best device, like a $300-$400 Osborn that will prevent me from over-pumping and causing damage. What is the experience of the men in this group? Do I need to spend a lot of money on a top-of-the-line "safe" VED or can anyone recommend a cheaper, but safe and effective option?

If your not going to use it for sex, vacuum pumps are rather cheap and can be bought on line. If it's for sex, you have to have one with tension rings. They're not cheap. If you use a penis pump, never pump till pain. I used a medical VED and lost absolutely no length. Also I used an awesome Surgeon!

Thanks for posting Robert as I am looking for the same answer as you. There are several types of pumps and I have no idea which ones are good. I'm just looking mainly for one to prep for my surgery as I will of course not need it one it's done.

The best less expensive pump system is offered by LeLuv. Make sure you get one with a vacuum gauge and a properly sized cylinder.

Cylinder sizing according to,LAPump

Girth --> Cylinder Diameter
3.50 to 4.50* --> 1.50
4.75 to 5.25* --> 1.75
5.50 to 6.00* --> 2.00
6.25 to 6.75* --> 2.25
7.00 to 7.50* --> 2.50
7.75 to 8.25* --> 2.75

My first VED, bought years ago, had a gauge and it looked like it came from an auto supply store. Not impressed with gauges. Go with stopping before you have a pain, not what the gauge says.

Last year, I bought the Encore Deluxe Vacuum Therapy System on Amazon. No gauge, but it does have an emergency vacuum release button. Comes with a variety of good quality, sized, cock rings (7). Comes with two vacuum devices, one manual and one battery powered. Good for lengths up to 7 inches. Reasonably priced at $125.

I had a Pos-T-Vac prescribed to me at no charge to me since it was prescribed by my urologist. Very good VED. Since there are so many names associated with these things, check out UroMatrix and Stamen Medical. Why? I don't know.

I have been using a VED from Augusta Medical for the past 10 years and I can attest to it being a high quality and functional product. From my personal experience such a pump is very safe to use and the risks of over pumping have to be extremely minute. But I do recall it being rather expensive.

I am contemplating getting an implant at this point in my life.
