Hey Honey, I shrunk my dick!
Whew, what a relief. This morning, after spending the night with a woody, I pushed the button and it went down, I mean it really went down! I have been struggling for the almost 7 weeks past surgery trying to fit what, for me, is a very large and stiff penis in my pants. I've been able to find the deflate button for a while now, and I've been pushing it and squeezing my penis to help it go limp, but what I got was not limp. It was within 3/4 inch in girth of what my "old" erection was and stuck out almost 5 inches. As I wrote previously, I was carrying around what some guys would consider a good erection.
Well, I showered last night and used my plastic bowl to trap water and soak my nuts, which is my nightly practice since visiting the doc 11 days ago and finding out I had an infection. Infection is gone, but the soaking seems to loosen up things, so I've kept it up. I had tried to pump, without much visible success last night, so I went to bed with my dick a little more pumped than has been normal. This morning, I got up and fumbled around for the deflate button, pushed it and heard this whining noise. I let go of the button, it stopped. Pushed the button again and it started, and I watched my dick shrink! So, I grabbed on and squeezed and it actually is not hard anymore, just "firm". I can bend him, he is shorter and smaller in diameter, and the best part, he hangs at about 5 o'clock! That is an improvement. Don't ask me what happened, I don't know. I do know the reservoir is fuller than it has ever been, because it is actually a bit uncomfortable right now, the first time since a week or so after surgery.
Since I've been griping on here about my big dick, I thought I'd let you know I've now rejoined the masses with something I would consider almost "normal." What a relief!

Hooray! A limp dick! What? Who said that?
Seriously, I'm glad your new plumbing is starting to work properly. Now maybe you can begin to enjoy your bionic boner. Woohoo for the hoohoo!

Oh Dave, what a relief it must be for you. So glad to hear that things are starting to loosen up and get better for you. Most of your stories from now on will, undoubtedly, be happy ones. Whoohooo! Happy Happy Joy Joy!!!
62. Retired. AMS 700 LGX implanted Nov. 18, 2013. Ask me any questions about being implanted or life afterwards.
How big is it? 7 week report
The question everybody asks, did you lose anything? I just pumped as far as I could, I'm 5-1/4" in girth (1/2" loss) and about 6" in length as far as I can tell, because with the remaining swelling I can't measure the same way I did before surgery. So, I'm about 1/2" shorter at this point also. From what others have said, I think I'm in good shape to have zero loss.
Since the total deflation 2 days ago, the resevoir area is tender. I iced it last night and used some of the potent pain pills. It was much better today, though there is a visible bulge at the reservoir site. The sticking in the balls is resolving itself a little at a time, as is the swelling in the area. I can actually feel my left testicle for the first time since surgery, and know for sure that it's there.
Pumping is an adventure. Some pumps are easy, others require a lot of squeezing. That part I don't understand. It's almost like there is a kink in the tubing (which would also explain why I couldn't deflate until 2 days ago.) Others who have been down this path please fill me in.

Dave,
Glad to hear things continue to improve. And I think you've given a new dimension to the old saying that begins "I'd give my left nut to...." Keep smiling. Things are looking up.

8 week update
I had my 8 week follow up with my doc yesterday. As a matter of review, I had a large amount of swelling starting the day after surgery. So bad that the doc couldn't get to the pump the day after surgery. At 5 weeks, my incision opened again and I had an infection. So, I got another round with 2 different antibiotics. The incision closed and has been fine since about 3 days after the start of the antibiotics.
So, doc was generally pretty happy. The incision is healed nicely and the infection appears to be gone. He told me he was very concerned that the implant might have to be removed. Thankfully, that didn't happen. I still have some swelling, apparently I have had more swelling than any patient he has had previously. However, he is very comfortable with me and the knowledge I have accumulated, and is pleased with my care of the implant. I explained my inflation twice a day to max procedure to attain the growth the LGX allows. I also told him I've been prying the pump away from the things it is sticking to, and he told me to continue doing what I've been doing, as I seem to be going in the right direction. So, I won't see him again until my next regular checkup on July 21.
The rest of the story: I'm now 6-1/4" in length, nearly my pre surgery best. I can't measure the same way, as there is still swelling at the base of my penis that will not allow the tube from my pump to be pushed up against my pubic bone as I did in the pre surgery picture and measurements. So, I held the tape against my pubic bone the best I could. I do know I'm going where "no man has gone before" when my wife and I have intercourse. In other words, functionally, I'm longer than I've ever been. I did not measure girth yesterday, but I'm within 1/2" a week ago. Again, the wife tells me I'm bigger than I've ever been, she should know after 40 years.
I've taken more pictures.
Am I happy, you bet. It's working great and we're having spontaneous sex just like to good old days. Onl;y now, I don't go flat after 5 or 10 minutes, or cum in 5 or 10 either for that matter. It is wonderful not to have to worry about when my erection is going to go flat, which is a problem I've had since I was a teen.

Update - Dave48003 - LGX log
Well guys, it has been nearly 9 months with the new bionic boner. I get asked a lot of questions, I'll try to summarize them here. Let me say I'd do this again today.
Some of my apprehensions going into surgery are below along with some common questions I get asked:
1. Will I lose size? Right now, I am 1/4" longer and the same girth as before surgery. My penis is now oval which means it is wider and not as wide in the other direction. Since it is extremely rigid when pumped fully, it doesn't yield like the non bionic version, so my wife tells me I'm bigger now that I ever was.
2. Do I ejaculate? Absolutely. I still have my prostate. If you ejaculated before implant, you should after.
3. Is it as sensitive? This was a big one for me, as I've lost sensitivity due to diabetes and circumcision. Right after surgery (I had a scrotal incision) there was a numb band that went from the incision upward along the bottom of my penis to about 1/2" below the glans. It is still there, but seems to be regaining some sensation. It doesn't affect the sensations during sex. My glans were a bit less sensitive at first, but I had a lot of inflammation and swelling. I think I'm as sensitive as before. It does feel slightly different, but I can't explain how.
4. What about SST or drooping head? I don't have it. The glans normally don't engorge after implant, but I seem to be one of the lucky ones who is starting to regain some of that. As the excitement builds, I can feel my penis and glans starting to engorge like they did before. My wife has also detected this. It not the head popper it once was, but it does make the sensation better for me. The tips that are located into the glans are so hard, my wife gets the benefit of those, sort of makes up for the lack of a bulging head. She is happy.
5 Surgical experience was good. I had no real pain, only discomfort. I did have the worst inflammation and swelling my doctor had witnessed in 15 years, and I developed an infection a couple of weeks past surgery that scared the heck out of him. Everything seems to be fine now. I had a lot of sticking of the pump to everything. It still tries to now and then and I pull, tug, etc. to free it up. I can tell if it is sticking again by pulling the skin of my penis outward (as if to cover the head). This also pulls the scrotum forward and if the pump is sticking, you will feel a tearing sensation inside. I was off 5 days, back to a deck job on the Tuesday after a Thursday surgery.
I'll try to post some new pictures soon, now that I've achieved my "new normal". That way you can see the before and after.

Re: Dave48003 - LGX log
A great thread Dave, we're all very happy for your outcome. My personal story was improving greatly but I did need (and got) a revision. It didn't put me at square 1, but it was/is a big step backwards recovery wise. I had (and still have) the numb band of skin from the incision up to the head. That must be very common, but I have been told that over a period of time (36 months), it MAY return to it's former state of sensation.
I hope and pray that 9 months from now, I'll have the same bragging rights that you do. Thanks for sharing your story... Keep 'em coming....
