Good morning everyone;
I asked Paul and he said he only saw one and he deleted it. I was told they were in every forum. I didn't see any. Thanks everyone for assisting me as the watch dogs of this great website.

I still haven't had anyone volunteer to start and maintain a topic for acronyms... somebody out there has the time to do that... It really wouldn't be that long and the other members could assist. Donnie, Hugh, dg_moore, bandit???

Have you figured out how to make it permant? Doing the post is not the problem it getting burried is the problem

There MAY be a way but;
first, the company that would do that charges us to do things and this is a charitable website where money doesn't flow so freely.
second, all the creator of the post would have to do is use a different computer with a different IP address... it's way to techy for me,

the appropriate permissions) can assign to specific topics. These special topic types are:
Global Announcements, Announcements, and Stickies. The Topic Type can be chosen
when posting a new topic or editing the first post of a previously posted topic. You may

choose which type of topic you would prefer by selecting the relevant radio button. When
viewing the forum, global announcements and basic announcements are displayed under
a separate heading than that of stickies and normal topics.

You are not overstepping at all. This is as much your website as mine. I have Global Moderator privileges plus a few extra goodies. I will look at what you suggested but I think someone told me that the sticky note option would have to be put separately, on every page... that would be a great big PITA. Also, I wonder if my sticky is different than your sticky?? I will look into it. I have asked Paul to check with the website creator as well. Thanks for the suggestion.

A sticky is a post that stays at the top. People can still comment on it just never leaves it postion.
