Can you travel un-noticed with an implant? Or does it show up on the TSA scan/x-ray? thanks for any information
Re: Airport Travel
Jerry,
I can only share my personal experience with you.
I had my Coloplast Titan Penile Implant Procedure performed in December 2007 and have never had any problem at
Airports with TSA Screenings, etc.
Hope this is helpful.
Meyy Christmas.

Jerry:
Good ?. NO, your implant will not show up on any of the present screening devices. You can fly high without discussing your bionic status; unless you want to brag, of course.
If you review the Implant Board, you will find we have had issues and discussions with the TSA. If any agent asks about a bulge in your slacks, you can tell him your extremely well-hung or you have an implant. lol The TSA agents now have had training, can't speak if they will remember, about implants and should understand your situation. If anyone is insistent you may have a weapon down there just ask for a supervisor and discuss the matter. You should be fine.
If you feel bold, you might offer to demonstrate the device in private- that should change the subject quickly. TSA is very clear that they can not require you to drop the undies so they can inspect/leer. As always, there are those who don't remember training and believe they are the only line of defense between your bulge and disaster- life being what it is. But- not to worry and enjoy the holiday and your trips.
Thanks again for raising this issue. There will be thousands of bionic guys flying this season and they should fly in confidence of the privacy of their medical status. The EDF (Erectile Dysfunction Foundation) the parent of FrankTalk, at the request of some members of this clan has aggressively interfaced with the TSA on this issue. They were professional, understanding and have assured us of their training and supervision. If you or any other member of FrankTalk has an issue please let us know. The TSA "Big Dog" I worked with ask that we convey any issue to them so they can handle the matter with their personnel. I believe he meant that statement.
Best wishes for the Holidays and have a Great New Year!!
Regards,
Dick
