Update at 10.5 weeks...

I thought i would give an update from my implant surgery on 10/5/11 with Dr. Eid in NYC. I had a 22cm Coloplast Titan OTR implant installed at Lenox Hill Hospital and surgery time was around 2 hours. I had a spinal anesth and was awake for the whole thing. (spacey though) The recovery went really smooth. I had no swelling or bruising at all and as the weeks progressed the lingering soreness decreased. At six weeks I was cleared for activity, but I did get to use it a bit earlier at 5 weeks or so. At that point I still was pretty sore after use but things still went very well

Now it has become just part of me and I don't even notice that it is there on a daily basis. All soreness is gone at this point. When sexually stimulated my glans now inflate nicely and the spongeiosum engorges as well. It does not get in the way of any activity and I have even ridden a bike without issue. I feel like I could do anything physical without it getting in the way or causing me to have to shift positions, discomfort etc.

My wife told me to "go ahead and do it" back in June when I made the surgery appointment but apparently she did not think I would really go through with it. The night before I left for NYC she let me know that she did not think I should do it and she did not understand why I felt like I needed to do this. She said that she thought it would be like a dildo or sex toy and she was not on board at all. Well, I pressed ahead anyway and went though with it despite her reservations. (I did not have any doubts myself) I am pleased to report that she is absolutely thrilled with the outcome! Just yesterday we started kissing/fooling around a bit after she got out of the shower. I discretely pumped up with my left had as I caressed her with my right and we ended up going at it on the counter in the bathroom! We moved to the bed and by the time we were done she had two orgasms before I finished. I joked after that she should write a Thank You note to Dr. Eid and she agreed enthusiastically! This kind of spontaneous encounter has not been possible for over 3-4 years since the Cialis stopped working for me. If I had to inject Trimix I would have been left with a 2+hour hard-on in the middle of the day not to mention the run to the 'fridge/injection time ruining the mood.

This surgery had helped re-ignite our sexual relationship and probably even saved our marriage. I am really grateful to United Healthcare for paying for the surgery and Dr. Eid and his staff for making the process easy and (mostly!) painless. I could not imagine a better outcome for me. I am slightly longer (6.375 length vs. 6.25 before) and same girth (5.10 all the way up the shaft). The pump in low and in the back of the scrotum behind the testicles-easy to get to and use, but out of site. My flacid penis is about 5" and looks like a nice healthy young unit. It points toward the floor but when I wear pants I lay it to the left side in compression style briefs and it does not poke out or cause any embarassment. If I had to shower at a gym it would just look like I am well hung "shower"-not too bad as I was a grower before

I actually took some pictures to document/share my outcome but I am not sure how to post them to this board. Do I need to use a hosting service like Photobucket? Do they allow such kinds of pictures?

Bob that is just great, I have united health care also I plan to follow up on going to DR. When the holidays get out of the way. I am on a job now in hammon In. I live in Texas and was retired but now inspecting welding on pipelines. It was great you giving your report.

Before reading your post I was sure only AMS 700LGX are capable of the length expanding

Yes, my penis is slightly larger than before, but it does not "expand" it is what it is. The LGX is made of a material that stretches over time a pre-determined amount. My surgeon does not like the LGX and will not implant them. According to him the material is the weakness and he replaces them all the time due to failure. I saw a sample of a failed LGX in his office. (one of the cylinders was ruptured on this sample) He uses the CX in the AMS line. According to him the expanding of the LGX is mostly marketing and you basically have what you were born with. I realize that many have the LGX and are happy and have experienced the expansion first-hand...this is just what he told me.
As far as my final size, my doctor just did a great job sizing me up without going too far. It is smaller both length and girth when deflated and when it becomes erect it fills out completely and becomes full size. I am extremely happy with the Titan and would highly recommend it to anyone in need
