Back in October my doctor said he put me on the waiting list for the implant. So I called today just to check what the expected wait time was. And guess what? The doctor’s assistant could not find me on the list. So basically 4 month of waiting went to nowhere... Nice... Yet another case of the “lost request”.
So now she told me she was going to ask the doctor about my surgery and (hopefully) add me to the list. Chances are she forgot about our conversation 2 minutes after our conversation was over.
Crap, it is so hard to deal with the "free" medical system. Pretty much one depends on the free will of some individuals; and if there is no cooperation there is nothing can be done to fix it. You pay good taxes for the healthcare system, but the service is pretty much “optional”, depending on the mood (and memory) of employees.
