Buried in the fine print on the documents you are asked to sign before the implant surgery there is wording to the effect that you may experience: loss of size; floppy head; loss of sensation; curvature; erosion through the skin; infection, etc.
Did you see these disclaimers in your paperwork? If so, did you think you you would have any of these problems? How many, if any, of these problems have you experienced?
How many of you knew????
Re: How many of you knew????
I lost about an inch in size and my pump has sharp edges on the release section...but I would have it done over again because it has opened up a wonderful sex life for me where when I was an inch longer it did not work...I knew of the risk but to me it was worth it
Re: How many of you knew????
I knew exactly what I was getting into at the time. But the only thing on my mind was "what do I have to lose?" Nothing. I couldnt get what was even close to an erection. I think for most men, doing their research on which doctor to put their faith into eliminates these types of concerns.

Re: How many of you knew????
I absolutely knew. Doc went over it about 3 times verbally. Then I had the paperwork to read and sign. If anybody has this done and doesn't realize what the risks are, I'd be very surprised, given the lawsuit happy society we live in. Docs and hospitals are super careful.

i myself wouldn't care what kind of kick back he would get as long as he got my pecker working again 3 years of getting none sucks...so let his cruise begin
Re: How many of you knew????
I was completely aware of all the possible risks involved with the Implant Procedure, having attended several Seminars and
carefully researching the subject.
My decision to move forward was based mainly on the following:
1- Suffering with ED and all its devastating side effects for over 3 years Post-Prostatectomy really sucked!!!
The other potential ED Treatment Modalities did not work for me satisfactorily.
2- Having the opportunity to speak with several men who were implanted by the Surgeon I had chosen and sharing their positive implant experiences.
To answer your question, I have not experienced any of the possible post-implant problems you have listed.
I may have lost a fraction of an inch in length but gained significant girth. Great trade-off as far as I am concerned.
I was implanted over four years ago and have not had any problems.
In spite of all the possible problems you list, I would do exactly the same thing again in a heart-beat!!

Re: How many of you knew????
You left out DEATH. Thousands of people die while undergoing medical procedures every year.
It's surgery. Surgery involves risk.
My doctor gave me a paper that detailed many possible negative consequences of the implant surgery. As it turned out, I had a problem with floppy head, so my wife and I have not been able to have intercourse. As you know, I underwent revision surgery in December to correct the prooblem. I hope to be back in business in a few weeks.
