syringes and needles

Postby 6gun 44 mag » Sun Feb 05, 2012 8:40 am

Anyone ever try using 28 ga. needles to inject. From 31 ga. down to 28 is a good jump, will it matter in the "feel" dept, 31 I don't feel, maybe a 28 is a bit big. Good deal on e-bay for 100 of them.

I found the 28 too big and it may be psychological but I know that the 31 works well for me. Most of the time I feel nothing when I stab Jr.

Well i started with 28 ga,, and no way would i recomend them,, i have found the 30 ga to be
the most comfortable,, for two reasons, one is drawing up the trimix, and other is the fact
like Jeff says you really don't feel the needle. I buy the B&D 30 ga by 1/2 inch at walgreens
in a box of 100, equates to 34 cents each. So happy for you Bruce, don't give up,, stick with
a plan and it only gets better.

I finished using my last 31 gauge 3/8 inch syringe about three weeks ago and had to resort to an old box of 30 gauge 1/2 inch syringes. I have used the larger needles for about 6 or 7 injections and found the prick to be very similar to the smaller needle and found that I had better control and feel for the insertion through the wall of the cc. I knew each time that the needle had hit the mark and was clearly inside the chamber. I guess I increased the "trauma" slightly but gained better accuracy. Risk vs reward.

6gun 30g is not bad. You certainly can use that.
