Ive got a new penis pump (a cheap one from a sex to shop ), and now I'm trying to use it for VES protocol. However, when I pump it up, I start to feel a lot of pressure on my groin as the vaccum.chamber starts to press into my groin. Is this normal ?
Should I continue to pump at this stage ?
I dont feel any pain in my penis, only on my groin and around it, and my balls when thr vaccum thbe starts to push into my groin.

I get this too. It makes sense to me that it would do that

So do I continue pumping further when I feel pain in my groin (where the tube pushes into the scrotum), or do I stop ? Would pumping further cause any injury ?

My doctor told me 5 - 10 minutes 3 or 4 times a day. If you leave it on there too long you will get haematomas on the glans.

Hmm, how hard and stiff were your erections with the pump? Mine seems loose and flaccid, and the glans doesnt engorge much.

Well I use it with the implant so I don't really know what the pump is doing and how much is vacuum. I don't know if I am pumping the vacuum too little, too much or just right, but I have seen an increase in girth in the 4 months since surgery and think my wife loves Dr. Brock and much as me.

Re: New to pumping
My experience with the cheaper VEDs is that the cylinder walls are considerably thinner. This can result in more discomfort when the cylinder is sucked up against the pelvic bone. Some guys purchase penis sleeves to serve as cushions to reduce that discomfort. They can also reduce the hinge effect when used with constriction rings for sexual activity.
My personal experience has been that taking viagra, etc. beforehand helps allow blood to be pulled in by the pump. Viagra doesn't to shit for me by itself but it does very noticeably help with pumping.
I've also found that looking at nekid women pics seems to release the valves that make it difficult to pump up. Alternatively, if you can get your wife or girlfriend to help and play with your junk while and between pumps it can make a real difference.
None of those suggestions could work for you but it's worth a try. I'm post Radical Prostatectomy and have nerve damage and I find it difficult to pump up using a VED by itself. I have no natural erections of any kind or degree but it still seems I need something (visual or physical stimulation or pills) to tell the valves controlling the blood vessels that it's OK to let blood in. Even then it won't pump it in on it's own. Without supplementing the pump by one of those methods it takes too long to pump up an acceptable amount in a reasonable time without causing hematoma or edema issues. Using the methods outlined above I can achieve a nice hard erection with a VED.
Otherwise, thank goodness for injections.
Edit to add:
"Overall, there is convincing evidence that VEDs are successful in the treatment of ED following RP, especially when used in combination with PDE-5 inhibitors, which appear to work synergistically to overcome postoperative changes and aid penile rehabilitation."

Re: New to pumping
“A cheap one from a sex shop” could be your problem. Better quality cylinders usually have a wider flanged base edge. LeLuv offers a reasonably priced quality “all in” system for about $80. It includes a pump with a vacuum gauge so you can maintain the vacuum level at a safe level - 4 to 5 in.hg.
Also cylinder sizing is important.
Cylinder sizing according to,LAPump
Girth --> Cylinder Diameter
3.50 to 4.50* --> 1.50
4.75 to 5.25* --> 1.75
5.50 to 6.00* --> 2.00
6.25 to 6.75* --> 2.25
7.00 to 7.50* --> 2.50
7.75 to 8.25* --> 2.75

Re: New to pumping
As others have stated, it is probably the "cheap" pump. They make donut sleeves that fit over the end of the pump that can cushion and make it somewhat more comfortable. It is just a matter of finding one that works. Look for penis pump accessories on ebay.
Married 50+ years. Use VED for sex and do
daily exercises with both water and vacuum pumps.

Re: New to pumping
I got one from a sex shop about 3 years ago for $60. I wasn't the cheapest and it wasn't the most expensive. It did not have a gauge but the doctor said the ideal pressure will be a little uncomfortable because it is suppose to be stretching. I am only 4 months post op and both my wife and I have noticed an increase in girth already... not so much in length but I blame botched surgery on that. I find that if using the VED to assist with my LGX it seems to be adequate.
