I use 31 gauge needles that are 8 mm (5/16") long.

Always call your doc and/or pharmacist if something related to meds doesn't make sense, ESPECIALLY anything related to your most important body part. Just saying.

I use insulin syringes, that like antelope's are 31g and 5/16" long. 25g is a good size needle. I use a 23g x 1.5" for my B12 injections, and there is no way I would try to stick it into my penis, even if it were only 5/16"! I know some doctors prefer 29g, as they feel that the 31g is too fine.

I would discuss this with your pharmacist or doctor.

Did you get instruction and an injection with the 25g in the doctor's office?

I was issued 30 gauge, and 5/16 long. I honestly can hardly even notice it going in, no feeling at all. But a 25, ? that's quite a bit more beef than a 30 or 31, but----if it works and you don't jump through the roof, then no need for alarm, unless it might be the scarring it could cause over time.
