Hi folks..60+ guy, peyronie surgery 2007, prostate surgery 6/10...doctors and surgeons
don't tell you everything concerning getting back continence and ed after surgery.
Took me 10 weeks to regain bladder control and still no progress on ed, surgeon assures
Me I will regain sexual functions around 2 years after surgery. Have been prescribed
Ed pills, Bimix, Trimix, all with no "workable" results..After reading posts on board
It appears treatment results vary
expected after.

Surgeon indicates that normal "fluid" passed in ejaculation after prostate removal
will be urine unless you take care to empty
bladder prior to sex. Is this true? Even with
An implant?

I developed ED Post Prostatectomy in February 2004 at age 65.
I never had a problem with ED prior to my Prostatectomy and I experienced all the negative emotions associated with ED.
Worst of all I lost the emotional intimacy with my wife of over 40 years and became quite depressed.

I wonder if at any time a person could achieve a "natural" hard on and if so,
How would it effect the implant. 24/7 spontaneous boners would be a

For me it is a dry orgasm with no urine squirting.
A "natural" erection is not possible since the corpus spongiosa is removed in order to place the Bioflex tubes of the Penile Implant into the corpora cavernosa in the penis.
However, the Titan Penile Implant perfectly simulates a natural erection and remains erect until you squeeze the release
bars at the top of the pump in the scrotum.
This coming Tuesday, December 13th, will be the Fourth Anniversary of my Coloplast Titan Penile Implant Procedure.
My wife and I are both very happy with and greatful for the Titan Implant.
Should you choose this Treatment Modality, just do your homework and choose your Implant Surgeon wisely.

Welcome James! I'm Dave from Almont, MI. I'm 60 and had ED since my teen years from leakage, probably caused by a couple of nice falls on a bicycle bar. I also have all the classic contributing factors, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, medications for those plus depression and diabetes. I still have my prostate, so I ejaculate normally. I was implanted with the AMS 700LGX in March.

The thing to remember about an implant is that it only changes the method of getting an erection. Nothing else, urinating, ejaculating, sensations during sex, etc. should change to any great extent. The only thing you won't feel is the sensation of a throbbing erection. It will be hard as a rock, but you won't know it by the sensations involved. You will also have a larger flaccid penis, and probably gain some erect girth. "Shrinkage" is a thing of the past. I can stand in freezing water and sport a full erection. My testicles will probably head north, but that's another subject.

There are many guys on here with implants, most of which are more than happy to answer questions.

I guess if you are the "older guy" then that probably makes me the "ancient guy". I'm joe and I'll be 78 next week...but I"m still interested and anxious to get back "in the saddle" after having CRYOGENIC prostate surgery last June. The only side effect still fighting me is ED but, since I had a workable erection using MUSE this week, it looks like things are starting to really improve for me and my very patient wife.

WOW, This is QUITE Scary. It's the first time I've heard anyone say that the Corpora Spongiosum is REMOVED during a Titan Penile Implant? IS THIS REALLY TRUE????

Hi Guys. I'm LGX_Man. Received my AMS LGX 700 Implant in December of 2010. I'm at nearly 14 months post-op now. I DID NOT have my Corpora Spongiosum (CS) removed in order to have my implant and have never heard of such a thing. I'd love to hear from other Titan men if they had their CS removed? If that were the case, I would have nixed the entire idea of an implant...way scary!

My two Corpora Cavernosa (CC) were "cauterized" (not removed) and the new chambers of the LGX were put right through the center into the new hollowed-out tunnels (so to speak). Placing the chambers into the center of the old CC made for quite a bit of girth growth. They get very HARD now and I have ALL of my original length back. It does throb and there is quite a bit of feeling and sensitivity in my penis. The throbbing does make me get quite horny, very excited and quite turned on. I'm seeing that this is not always the case with everyone here on FT, but IS the case with me and my LGX. Any comments guys?

Because I DID NOT have Prostate surgery of any type, my CS came back to life about 6 months after surgery. I now DO get spontaneous erections, especially during the middle of the night. Sometimes I inflate the LGX before going to bed and leave it inflated all night long. Sometimes I DO NOT inflate it before bed and STILL wake up with erections in the middle of the night and the natural flow of blood to my CS and the GLANS (head of penis). This only happens when I leave the valve in the open state. If I lock it out, these sensations do not occur.

There's an incredible amount of information to be learned here at FT. Most of it is worthwhile, but please check sources to make sure that there is no false information given. Your reliable urologist or sexual health function specialist should be able to give you accurate information. And please DO pick your doctor carefully.

I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions. As far as I know, I have NEVER heard of the CS being removed for an implant surgery but WOULD like to hear from others if their doctors removed their CS. I shudder to think that such a thing would be done.

Go to the implant section and read my whole story, LGX Log. I am actually slightly longer now, and hopefully still growing. But even if you lose slightly, 1/4 to 1/2 inch, I doubt your partner will notice, because you are now pushing a pipe now, not a rope. If you push it an inch, then tip moves an inch. Before, you may have pushed 2 inches to get the tip to move an inch. It's not how long it is, its how far in you can get it, if you get my drift.
