Every time I hear the word "irreversible" I am getting flashy and nervous. Though the rational part of my mind says that I have nothing to lose...
Still I am wondering how trans-genders (females-to-males) get a functional penis? Is that naturally erectable or just the same type of implant?

Unless it's a penis transplant from a living donor, there's just no way a female to male transgender can have a "natural" erection.

I think we should rethink our use of the term "natural erection". In general conversation, I suppose "natural" means without use of pills, pumps, shots, or implants. But that suggests that there is such a thing as an "unnatural" erection. In my view, an unnatural erection would be getting turned on by a walrus or a poodle.

Certainly, then, when we use our little helpers, we should not consider the result to be an "unnatural" erection. Or an "artificial" erection. From my perspective, getting hard is the natural state of the adult male, with the understanding that a situation does not have to be 24/7 to be a natural state. There is certainly nothing "unnatural" for a man to do what he may need to do to enhance the experience of being a man.

Just my morning musings. Cheers.

Danny:

That word irreversible certainly got my attention also. In my case, it wasn't the getting hard part I was worried about, but how it would feel. My thought was, I can't get it hard now anyway without a shot, and that wasn't doing a 100% job, so going through a little discomfort and recovery was worth it, knowing I would have a 100% success rate with the erection. I was most concerned about sensitivity and size. I have lost a lot of sensitivity already due to my diabetes and other issues, lose much more and I might as well use a broom handle for sex, I wouldn't feel it anyway!

The sensitivity issue turned out to be a non issue. It does feel different, but I have at least as good of a success rate achieving ejaculation as previous. I have actually gained slightly in size, so it is a success as far as I'm concerned. So, I have no desire to want to return to being mortal after being bionic!
