Rookie
Hey everyone I am a new member and after creepin on this site for a week or so have decided to get my feet wet. Had Robotic Prostatectomy in May this year. Nerve bundles were spared on 1 side. It's very early for me to be expecting much in the Woody Dept. but my recovery physically has been swift and no issues with incontinence. So with that said I am anxious to put Joey back to work. I have been able to reach orgasm through oral with my wife and it feels better than ever. Recently I've noticed some movement and firmness but nothing suitable for intercourse. Two months after my surgery my doctor prescribed 1 Viagra per week. Not much goin on there. I received the Osborn pump and have been experimenting with that along with the V. I have been teased with intercourse but twice have had to repump during sex. It will take time experimenting with the rings but at least it's a start. I have my first post-op appointment next week for PSA evaluation. Hoping for undetectable levels and some encouragement from my doctor. Thanks for listening )

Re: Rookie
Welcome! I'm also a new member. You'll be glad you found this site. it's really mentally helpful to talk with other guys who have the same problem. I find it therapeutic to open up about it.
You're so lucky to recover so quickly from a major op and to regain some sexual activity.
it took me a lot longer, but once I got going again I'm more active in that way than ever before.
You may find, like me, that sex can be more satisfying because the medication and/or the pump allow you to make it last.
So far I am learning that it isn't always possible to achieve an orgasm even after half and hour of continuous intercourse.
sometimes you can feel it coming but it just doesn't get there. Best to accept that and go for it again another day.
Relax and take your time. Enjoy the experience.
Enjoy the site. Nice to meet you. Tell us more about yourself - whereabouts you live, your interests, etc.

Re: Rookie
Hey Jim, thanks for you thoughts. After I posted I realized that I didn't give much background on myself so here goes. I am 52 years old, live in the Boston area, am a carpenter, and enjoy all sports especially hockey. I still play hockey in a local men's league. I am married to a great woman 27 years and have 2 kids in college. I was diagnosed with PC in late March. I had no symptoms but my PSA elevated to 4.2. My biopsy showed low percentage cancer in 8 of 12 cores a real shocker. My gleason was a 3+3=6. Decided to have Robotic Assisted Prostatectomy at Beth Israel in May. My post op showed negative margins and my surgeon says there is a good chance I won't see the cancer again. I am going next week to have a PSA evaluation and keeping my fingers crossed for a good report. My wife found this site a suggested I check it out. She gets a kick out of all the "FRANK" talk. LOL

Re: Rookie
Hey there, Rookie. it's great news that you caught that cancer just in time. What prompted you to seek a diagnosis? Were you experiencing any symptoms?

By the way, rubber biscuit (why the choice in name), did you know that you can post information about yourself on your profile? Just go to the user control panel button which you will see on the upper right hand corner of this page.

Re: Rookie
I was not experiencing any symptoms but at my annual physical they did a PSA evaluation and it was slightly elevated so they did a biopsy and voila ... PC. I think the fact that I was not having symptoms was due to it's early stage. The PSA Test is a blessing! The name rubber biscuit is a play on words. I am a hockey goalie and a hockey puck is made of rubber and often referred to as the biscuit. Also since my dick won't currently stand at attention, I refer to it as being in a rubbery state. LOL Maybe when I start getting wood again, I'll be "Hard Slapper" BTW Hey Corvetteman. If you have one, I'm extremely jealous

Rokkie or Rubber Biscuit which ever. I have had vettes for the past 12 years. At one time I had 3. Now I only have 1 its a 2001 vert and we do enjoy it much. Love making road trips in it. Have had it to the West Coast and also on the East Coast.
I am really hoping that there is a new one in my future.
