Hello and best wishes

Postby Quincy » Wed Mar 28, 2012 2:20 am

Hello all. I'm obviously new to this forum. I have a double-whammy in the area of ED - I've had type 2 diabetes for about 20 years and last November found out that I have intermediate-grade prostate cancer. In January and February I went through HDR brachytherapy radiation treatments for the cancer. Now I'm trying to figure out how to get my sex life back.

I've already found a lot of great information here and express my thanks to those of you that have posted. This is a great resource. I'm pretty consevative and don't really have anyone to talk with on these subjects. My wife is wonderful and supportive (and even more conservative than I am), but there are things you have to be a guy to fully understand, I think. Things I've found here have already helped me a lot, and I can see there's much more to learn.

My best wishes go out to all of you. I'm sorry that, like me, most of you have to be here, but it's great that we can find help and companionship on the journey.

Welcome! Feel free to send a PM to any of us if you have a question you'd prefer not posting on an open forum. I think we're all cool with that. And join the gang in the Chat Room when you get a chance. We get rowdy in there at times--and often bawdy--but it's good to blow off steam. And there are some really good man to man discussions going on as well.

And don't worry about being conservative. I'm somewhere to the right of Calvin Coolidge myself and one of my best friends is a Marxist. Ha Ha But once we go to the urologist, we leave our modesty--and most of our dignity--in the parking lot. Gathering good information and finding workable solutions for a limp dick requires--wait for it--Frank Talk.

Thanks for your warm welcomes and advice – here, in the forums, and in chat. It’s hard to believe I’ve been here less than a week, given all the progress and friends I’ve made. Though I lurked a little before gathering the courage to get involved, it’s only been 4 days since I signed in, but my attitude, knowledge, and outlook have skyrocketed.

You guys have helped me with some of my uncomfortable past (including a little guilt), my current needs, and my hope for the future. It's wonderful that I can openly discuss these topics without fear of recrimination.

You guys are terrific, and you have my heartiest “Thank You!”

Greg.

Greg - let me join the chorus - WELCOME! As you now know, you have hooked up with one of the best group of guys around. We are very diverse in all aspects, age, race, political leaning, and sexual orientation, but on here, we are one united against a common foe, the limp dick! It almost seems theraputic when you first start posting on here, you have had to admit you have a problem that most guys want to keep hidden, and once that is common knowledge, at least among the group here, you are on your way to changing your outlook and hopefully how you penis functions.

As antelope Greg says, come join us in chat. I liken that to a locker room, its all guys, we're all naked (figuratively at least) so there is no hiding that part of our manhood that doesn't work so good anymore, and we crack some jokes and have some humor at the expense of our limp members, and along the way we support each other and pass along some information. Hope to see you there!
