CAN NOT CLIMAX!!

Postby Tom frustrated » Thu Apr 05, 2012 2:49 am

Since my implant I have not been able to climax, seems close but no cigar. Of course it bothers me a lot and if I haven't already developed a mental condition, I feel I very shortly will. Has anybody else had this problem? After all this is what going thru the operation was really all about. She will not do oral so that is not an option. She says I've got her so sore that I should not come to her until I've been able to get it off, by masturbation which I've also tried with no results. Doctor said my testosterum is at acceptable levels. I do have Parkinson's but I make sure I'm up to snuff with my dopamine meds as dopamine , from what I understand, also plays an important role in sex. Does any know if there is some common problem with the surgery that can cause this problem,? Of course the doc says no to that and says to "give it time." Damn I'm 73 I don't have that much time. Ha (I hope that's a joke) Like Burns joked "it now takes me all night to do what I used to do all night." Before the implant I was able to get off, not as quickly as in my youth but in a reasonable amount of time, yes masturbating my limp penis over her and coming on her but I can't do that now. What experience have you had, does the ability return? It's been three months snce the implant. Thanks for any response. Tom

Since my prostatectomy 4 years ago, I have not been able to climax during intercourse. I have been able to bring myself off. I am convinced this has been psychological. Injections take so much preparation and are so non-spontaneous, and my peyronies has been so distracting, that I am not that surprised that I have had troubles. I am so preoccupied by the whole process that I can't let go. I am hopeful that when the implant becomes second nature to me, I will be able to climax again during intercourse (I just was implanted nearly 2 weeks ago).

Climax is something that requires a certain amount of abandon, a certain amount of concentration, and requires your ability to rid your mind of distractions. It happens in the brain, not in your prostate or your penis or anywhere else. Although I may not be the best to give advice, I suggest you try to "let go" of all distractions. "Stop worrying" seems almost like a contradiction, but it won't happen until you can reach that amount of self-control.

I wish you all the best with this - I am with your doc, give it some time so that you are not so distracted with how it is feeling, and you can let go.

By 'climax' I'm going to assume you mean 'orgasm', not necessarily to cum or to ejaculate. Immediately after my PC surgery, I lost the ability to ejaculate, but I could still have an orgasm, albeit dry.

After my implant I lost a great deal of sensitivity along the penile shaft. While the glans were sensate, with the glans no longer getting engorged, the stimulation I was used to in that area was much different/less/deminished. However, for me, this was still much better than the bloated numbness I got using the VED and rings--neither me nor my wife enjoyed intercourse during the time I was using the VED. Anyway...

Over the first year, especially after about the eighth month, feeling began to return the penile shaft. At this point I have feeling over the whole penis. Also, at this point, I am getting some engorgement of the CS and glans, causing more/better contact during intercourse. 17 months out from surgery, it all feels good.

Give it time. YMMV.

I have to agree with Scot. I'm about 13 month post surgery. I'm starting to feel the shaft again, and the CS are starting to pump up again. I will say that the sensitivity will continuously improve and you should be able to climax again. In the meantime, there are some lubricants the heighten sensitivity, you might try masturbating with them, which will also have the theraputic effect of stimulating blood flow to the area which will also help the cause. Relax, get some lube, and start stroking without the expectation of a climax. You might be surprised!

I appreciate your posts, as I haven't had an orgasm since my implant in Nov 11. My penis is pretty much numb and that makes for a difficult outcome. To know that your sensation came back at some point gives me hope. Glad to know things are working now or getting there.

Yes, I have the same problem. Have to finish by hand while getting external stimulation. If you read the fine print in the papers you signed you will see that "loss of sensitivity" is one of the side-effects of the implant surgery (along with loss of size, floppy head, curvature, etc.). It is all there in the fine print but my doctor never mentioned any of it (I saw it later when I was trying to understand why things weren't working out as well as I had expected).

I had my implant in Dec. 2010. I could not have an orgasm for the longest time. I frustrated me to no end. But then I was healing and had so many other uncomfortable things going on down there. The implant "extenders" really hurt for quite awhile and I still feel some smarts in them now if I leave my penis inflated for a long time.

After trying and failing over and over, I finally decided "who cares" and calmed down about it. One day I was that magical feeling was suddenly back and I was able to have an orgasm once again. To this day, if I really want to have a "quickie", it's pretty much guaranteed that it's not going to be quick at all.

I'm working on this but am finding that it really has been mind over matter with me. At 15 months since the operation, things are looking much brighter and I'm orgasming much more often. I'd say about 75% of the time now. It certainly does take a lot of concentration. Having a big stiffy certainly does help while concentrating though, I must say!

Having an impatient partner is NOT a help at all. Good luck to you.

Hey guys, it's the orgasming ;-) king again.

I have found one other, very unusual thing related to orgasms with implants.

I find that if I do NOT relieve my bladder before sex and have at least SOME urine inside of me, I have an easier time having an orgasm and, in my case, ejaculation.

just another thought. For some reason it works for me.

The secondary blood flow often DOES come back after a period of time. My corpus spongiosum (bottom of penis) and the GLANS (head of penis) now swell when I'm super turned on. That added to the LGX which has been trained to grow to it's factory given length... makes LGX_Man a very HAPPY guy!

I too have trouble with orgasm. It takes a lot of up front foreplay before we can begin intercourse. If we don't my wife will orgasm but I may have to have her finish me off with a handjob. Sadly the old days of the quickie is out of the question. I am going to ask my surgeon if the pills or muse might help this situation. I sure would like to orgasm with my sweetie during intecourse. Lets keep this thread going and help each other solve the mystery. Thanks to all who contribute!

Dave
