Pumping frustration

Postby Dlareg » Sat Mar 26, 2022 9:31 am

Five weeks post op and got the go ahead to start cycling. My expectations were to be able to pump to a point where stretching would occur and discomfort would be noticeable. That's not my reality. I pump to a point of a semi hard on and that's where it stops. The bulb will be super hard to the point of unable to squeeze. Move the penis up down left right for a couple minutes then get a couple more squeezes. Repeat this process several times and always able to get a couple more squeezes in, but there seems to be no further inflation. Any thoughts?

Patience, Patience,. I got my AMS. 700 C X Dec 31. Just now pump is working well. Many posts or threads here on the forum about the same issue. Great place for information, another better one is the company representative. Call Boson Scientific leave a message to find your area rep. Be prepared to wait for a while, he or she will return your call and answer questions about the device. Will not answer questions about the medical or physical issues, they refer that back to your doc.

Again it takes time.

You should have received a protocol for cycling from your doctor. There is an example of one in your user DVD that was in your packet. Something like inflate to max and deflate once a day for a couple of days then twice a day for a few days then leave in flatted for 10 minutes for a few days then for 20 minutes for a few days and then eventually a set routine for out to months of your cycling. As we are all different and so are the doctors we use it is important to follows your doctors instructions. Dose not matter what others do. You can ask your doctor about this. And the use of longer inflations or adding (sometime called forced pumping) pumps. And even the use a VED. If your doctor ok's any of that then you can try it. If not I would wait until I was fully healed (3-6 months for most men) to try other methods of restoring lost size.

Right now you are early in this when the risk of infection is higher. The important thing as I see it is to heal and avoid infection. Your doctor is the one that did the surgery on you and has the most information to advise you with this.

Good luck going forward with this.

Completely normal. 5 weeks out seemed like nothing worked at all, pumping didn't make me more erect. Was 6 or 7 weeks out that it started working and I regained some length.

Yup - I posted several times about my frustration with the bloody stiff pump early on. I still remember the first week of cycling... exactly like your experience.

You received great feedback from your brothers, it is normal, keep at it! For me, after a full 30-days of daily cycling, I knew I made the right decision and started to relax. After assaulting that bulb/pump for like three months, I was all good. Still making small gains today...

When you have inflated as much as possible, press on the sides of the inflatable tubes in your penis. Are they as firm as the pump bulb?

Hydrostatics suggests that if there is equal pressure in the bulb as in the tubes, they should be equally firm, the only difference being the stiffness of the material of the pump bulb over the stiffness of the material of the implant.

With my AMS LGX, at any degree of inflation past 50%, the resistance I feel to my finger making a dent in the inflatable tubes is equal to making a dent in the pump bulb. (Below 50%, the greater stiffness of the pump bulb makes a difference.)

I’m only activated 4 days , but boy does it hurt my sack.
My ball bag has started to swell again cause of all the pressure I have to press down on the pump.
Releasing it is the worst.
How long before the skin gets used to being pressed hard?

How long? Cycling the implant between 50 and 200 times. If you cycle once a day, maybe two months. Or 6 months, depending on how tough your skin is and how gently you do the pumping.

After 4 years, if I am not watchful, I can still make myself sore.

The upshot of this is that after only a short time, if you are observant of how you do the pumping, you can do it without hurting anything, even if it is a bit uncomfortable. Technique is key. Hold the valve body so your squeezing hand does not slip on your skin.
