Still not sure about the ‘right’, or ‘sweet’, spot, but I am injecting in the locations based on diagrams. Do you know why Eid doesn't take insurance?

He takes insurance. Some insurances might have limitations on what they will pay for, though. And Alprostadil itself, like other erection meds, is usually out of pocket because of the puritan culture we live in.

I usually get 5 - 2ml vials totalling 10ml for $125 US which seems affordable to me considering the good erections I get from it and that will probably last me around 9 months averaging two or three times a week with an erection lasting an hour and a half to two hours. I usually cum twice real good from each erection sometimes more. My record is 5 spoiling the orgasm a couple times.

during an erection that lasts 1.5 / 2 hours, between one coming and the other the cock goes to rest if you wish and then you resume with a new erection? or does it always remain erect in 2 hours ?, another thing each vial how many mch does it contain and how much do you inject ?, I would like to try but I'm terrified to give the injection for fear of making a mistake

Re: Injection Journey, Fifth Attempt

Well, I just did my fifth injection, up to 90. Once again no difference between 90 and 80, 70, 60... I’m confident I injected in the proper site and depth…but still stuck in the same place. I have some girth, some stiffness with stimulation, but not nearly stiff enough for potential penetration. I don’t think the dose I have is going to work for me. I don’t think I’m even going to bother trying at 100, the max, because I don’t think the results will be any different. I go on vacation for two weeks on Wednesday, and I think I will try to forget about all this and when I get back contact the doctor’s office to see if they want to try the higher dose(currently have 40PGE, and I believe next step would be 80PGE). Very disappointing, although I injected with a little more confidence this time, after watching several videos online to see where different guys injected.

Is this considered normal to go through weeks of trying to get the right dose? Has anyone gone through the max a syringe can take for weeks, and then increase the dose and had success? Once again, thank you all for your help, advice, and support.

One other thing is that I felt a little lightheaded several minutes after injecting, not sure if it was related to the injection and the quantity of medicine or was just me coming down from my nerves being on a high steeling myself for the injection?

It remains erect the whole time no stimulation or excitement needed. Keep going after you cum or take a break and go at it again. With Trimix you don't have to be one and done. It is terrifying the first couple of times you inject but it is really no big deal using a 31 guage 5/16" long syringe and most of the time there is no pain and if there is pain it feels like a little pinch. I think I'm probably getting over 65 to 80 doses out of 10ml? 10ml is suppose to be 1000 units.

It seems impossible to me that the medicine would make you light headed, I think you worked yourself up? Why not get Trimix? If pills like Cialis and Viagra help you but just aren't that great then it seems to me that Trimix injections should be AWESOME for you. IDK why you're having such a hard time but I think seeing the doctor again is a good idea. My urologist insisted on giving me my first dose and came back 10 minutes later to make sure it worked. The doctor's office made sure that appointment was early in the day so if the erection didn't go away the doctor wasn't going to get called in the middle of the night about it.

Re: Injection Journey, Follow up to Doctor's office

Postby Martin25 » Wed Jul 27, 2022 5:12 pm

Well, I went back to Dr. Eid's office since the maximum dose of the 40PGE of Alprostidal wasn't working...I was told over the phone that they didn't want to just send the higher dose to my house, 80PGE, and that the doctor wanted to do an injection test...I thought it was a good idea anyway because I wanted to show Dr. Eid where I had been injecting.

Unfortunately, the only medicine Dr. Eid had in his office was the 40PGE I was already using, and he specializes in this stuff! I was asked if I had brought my own medicine??? (by his one of his assistants)...then Dr. Eid came up with the idea of injecting me with a double dose, meaning that the max of 100 units with the syringe I had been using,1 ml, would be doubled to 2 ml, which would be the same as using the mix of 80PGE. Makes sense, except that he had his staff search for a larger syringe...it took a while...I waited in the room, naked, socks on, a hospital gauze covering me...finally, a knock at the door...Dr. Eid entered and showed me the syringe: "All I have is this one and it's a (much)thicker needle" Yikes! Then I suggested, why not just give be two injections with the 5/16" syringe? (seems like he didn't think of this  )..."But then I would have to inject you twice." I agreed, one on the right side and one on the left, and it worked, although it felt like a lot of fluid going into me since twice as much had to be injected...

After 15 minutes, I had my best reaction to the medicine so far...sooo close, maybe 80% of the way there...the doctor looked at the semi-erection, said it could be better at home with stimulation (makes sense), but after some discussion (he said he could put me on daily 5mg Cialis, which he already has me on, I reminded him, and which I hope is in my chart) we agreed to go for Trimix, beginning with a low dose...so now I have to coordinate with the composting pharmacy, get the Trimix, and then return for another appointment to try my first injection in the office in case of priaprism. Sounds logical, but, really, the doctor's office should have all of these medicines available...it seems like their pharmacy only gives one free sample a month, but, considering what I'm paying per visit and the thousands of dollars per visit being submitted to my insurance co., it isn't too much to ask for the doctor's office to have some Trimix...it seems as with any health or medical issue, you have to really be an advocate and be your own doctor, in a sense, even when working with one of the best in the field.

I will give the Trimix a shot (pun intended) in the doctor's office once I get it and I may ask if I can self-inject under his watchful eye, since I am still finding self-injection to be nerve wracking...

Anyway, that's my update...I'm trying not to get down and be positive (it's difficult) and to focus on the fact that I finally got some kind of reaction from an injection, with my penis at a 90 degree angle, if not quite stiff enough...

Has anyone achieved success after 7-8 injections? I guess titrating takes time, plus now I'm going for the stronger medicine, which I know has more side effects, such as scarring...

Re: Injection Journey, First Trimix injection

Postby Martin25 » Wed Aug 10, 2022 7:35 pm

On Monday, August 8, I had my first trimix injection at Dr. Eid’s office; this is after the Alprostidal did not provide sufficient results… The medicine was delivered to me, and I brought it to the doctor’s office in an insulated bag.
The prescription strength is “Trimix 1/4 (8/0.29/2),” verbatim from the label. I injected 40 mL into myself, under the doctor’s guidance (there was a female student/resident present, which was kind of embarrassing…my hand shook)… was checked on at 15 and 30 minutes, and…still not good enough, maybe 60%, same as with the maximum strength alprostidal. Eid instructed me to try 60 mL at home and to do it on a day he is in the office in case I have priaprism and need treatment. By the way, he does not believe that oral Sudafed works as treatment for priapism caused by alprostidal because, he said, papaverine does not allow any blood flow into the penis, thus rendering oral medication ineffective.

Of course I don’t really mean it, but I almost am wishful for having an erection that won’t go down for hours because the results have been so disappointing so far…I’m stuck at 60%… I mentioned using a penis ring, he said to try the 60 mL injection first and that I might not need it.

He also told me that scarring is inevitable over time, and that would lead to an implant…pretty depressing… I thought that guys could inject for up to 10 years, but maybe that is just with alprostidal . What am I saying, at this point injections aren’t working for me!

That is a very weak prescription of Trimix you used. You should probably be starting with 30-1-10. I'm surprised Dr. Eid is even offering Trimix since he hates that stuff so badly. Injections work great for some guys for a long time with little to no scarring. For others, they start having issues after only a few injections. No way to tell which one you will be. Sooner or later, however, you will need an implant. Injections for most are a short-term solution.
