Did you have your office visit today? If so, I would like to know all about it.

I had mine today, we are both 3 weeks from having surgery on the same day, and it was the first contact I have had with the doctor's office since the implant. I met with my surgeons PA and he thoroughly checked me out. I told him my main concern was I thought the pump was high and to the rear. He checked it out and pulled down on the pump, he didn't yank it, but just a steady gentle pulling down of the pump. He asked if I could feel any pulling in the tubes or reservoir and I couldn't. He said just gently pull down on it once a day. He said he didn't think it was too high and that it would come down.

He released the pressure in the implant then gave me a model of the pump on a key chain, so I have a reference of what it feels like and how it works. He asked me to pump it up a little and it took way more effort than I thought it would, I mean WAY more. He asked me if I heard it, saying it makes that little squeak as it pumps and I did. He asked me to pump it up some then he had me find the release valve and hold it while I squeeze my penis from the tip toward the base. All the squeezing of the pump he and I did made me sore, and my incision hurts tonight for really the first time. I think we must have torn it a little. I am so sore I am not going to pump it up again until tomorrow at the earliest.

He wants me to come back in 2 weeks, so that will be week 5, hopefully I am healed enough he will cut us loose. They originally said it would be 6 weeks. Right now, I am so sore from all the manipulation today it doesn't even sound good.

I hope all went well for you today Minnesota.

Hey , AmansinCali,

I had my appointment today. I got bloodwork to look at my heart, as well as my inflated/deflate learning appt. I like you had a lot of pain during it and everything just got very irritated. I got the coloplast model as well and found it helpful. I have no issue pumping. It hurts and takes a bit, but I can get there. Deflating is tougher. I have to really squeeze my shaft. The feeling of being "flaccid" is a really uncomfortable feeling for me. First, it sits at a 3:30 angle and it is like I have a mini boner. It actually makes me not want to leave my hotel at all. I can feel the tubing and everything. It just feels odd and uncomfortable. Not to be negative... I know it will get better but the question is how much. I can already tell that sex will be unbelievable. However, I am not sure about the 99% other part of my life yet. I see a lot of happy people on here so that helps me keep my hopes up, but as of right now I cant see me showering at work or the gym with other guys, working out, or really doing anything until my penis can sit down somewhat and not look like a boner. I have it copmpletely deflated and its at a 3:30 angle with not much give

Hi Minnesota,

I'm happy for you, you made the step and can have incredible sex! I'm sorry for you about what you said above. Isn't it possible to wear a jockstrap untill the angle is better?

Good luck

Good day to you Minnesota,

I was so glad to see your post about your first post-surgery office visit, I think it is rare that two guys can compare their recoveries after having surgery on the same day.

I didn't have a lot of pain as the PA inflated my device; however, he only inflated it a few pumps to about the same level as I left the operating room. He deflated me then inflated to about that same level I had been, what happened to me is my scrotum became very sore, especially at the incision, from all of the manipulation and there wasn't that much manipulation at all. I never had any soreness at the location of my incision up to that point, but it felt like it had been torn on the inside. The rest of the soreness came from my scrotum wall that was being forced against the pump in order to pump it. And like I said before, I could not believe how much pressure it takes to pump it, I expected that at near full inflation, but not at the beginning of inflation. Most say it gets easier as you exercise it, I hope so!

I know what you mean about the new flacid, we both have Titans and it is said they are much stiffer but take more abuse than the AMS. The AMS is supposed to give a more natural flacid hang. My current hang is the same as yours. I am not caring that the best flacid is like a chubby and I have enough confidence in myself not to worry about other men in the locker room, what I do care about is a perfect hardon my wife and I can have fun with. Remember, there are showers and growers, you are now at the top of the showers list. Think how nice it is going to be when you are on a date and she reaches down and grabs a handful, she will know you are responding to her. A few more pumps later and you will be happily in the saddle. Remember also there are many on this site who say they put a few pumps into it before they go out in public so it does show more, they are proud of their new hardware, especially those who in the past were growers. I think you will quickly become use to your new normal.

Let me know how your cycling goes, how sore you get or if it hurts your penis to inflate, I haven't felt any yet. My biggest problem other than the soreness of my scrotum from working the pump is the pump tends to slip out of my grip like a prune seed. I would think with the ridges on the pump it would give traction, but it doesn't seem to. If you refine a technique, please let me know what works for you.

Best of luck Minnesota, I will be thinking about you!

Hey Minnesota,

I didn't like reading about your new flacid state, you sounded so disappointed. I know what you are talking about having a flacid that looks like a boner starting, please consider we are only 23 days out of surgery and our tissues are still swollen and inflamed.

Here is something I thought about this morning. When I woke up this morning, I had the chubby you speak of, but it wasn't like that when I went to bed. I have seen this over and over again here on FT, evidently when you deflate as much as possible, squeezing from the tip to the base while holding the valve open other posters are saying if you give the pump a short pump it closes the valve completely and preventing the fluid from leaking back into the penis. When we deflate, we are filling the reservoir; therefore, it has more pressure in it, resetting the valve with that quick pump stops the backflow. I have not tried that yet, but I have read enough posts on FT stating this, it must help or eliminate the problem.

I don't know about you, but the time I spent pumping and the pressure needed on the pump, my scrotum is highly inflamed, just plain sore where I was pushing to work the pump. This is something I don't recall reading about here, I will post the question to the group. I never had any pain in the scrotum after the surgery, I was swollen, black and blue, but very little pain. Aggravating my scrotum, the last 3 days has given me more discomfort than the surgery itself.

I hope you are in a better place today.

I found it most comfortable to free ball but obviously tough in public. I have it hanging down and to the left, which is tolerable now but where the tubes creases it gets sort of sore. I guess it gets more and more pliable so it will only get better! Thanks for the kind words

I hear it only gets better as you start cycling as well. I’d say as soon as I get 60%, I’m like wow I must be full because I can’t get another pump in. It takes a lot of work to get those last 7-10 pumps in to get fully hard. I actually took a few days off from cycling. Had so much hematoma/inflammation in the sac that I could not feel the deflate button at all and also my penis is extremely sore from trying to deflate it. Black and blue even. Maybe I’m sqeuuzimg too hard but it’s the only way I can get deflated. I am going to start again today.

Thanks for the positive thoughts and words AmansinCali! I appreciate it. I think I’ll soon enjoy it more once it isn’t uncomfortable in jeans. Which sounds like will come with time and will become more pliable. It’s much more pliable already. I’d say it hangs at 4:00 flaccid and to be honest, once it lays down I don’t think it looks unnatural at all.

For Inflation, the best technique I have found is sort of like playing a thumb war type grip. My Surgeon has a good YouTube video on it with Mayo Clinic. If you want to go on YouTube and look it up. His name is Dr. Kohler. Pumping is not an issue for me besides I get sore which is why I took a few day break. Deflating is tougher and more sensitive for me.. how is deflating going for you? Have you used your implant with the wife yet??

I know I came off negative, but I definitely was disappointed right away jjst because when I tried walking around in public, I was extremely uncomfortable and having to have my hands in my pockets to not show my flaccid Boner lol. When deflating, i have been putting one pump back in every time I have deflated, like you said. I notice I seem a little bigger in the morning.. I think I’m Slightly getting normal blood flow because I notice my head is engorged a bit.

as far as the time spent pumping and being sore, yes!! I had to stop For a few days. I haven’t seen anyone talk About any of this after surgery besides Merrix. His journal talked some about it.

I hope you are healing well. I am going to post a 3.5 week update either today or tomorrow!

Hey Minnesota,

I was happy to see your reply and your change of attitude. As I read your latest post it sounded like you were describing my progress, your recovery is like a mirror image of mine.

I was actually glad to hear you had to lay off of pumping for a couple days because I had to also. The skin of my scrotum and the tissue caught between my fingers and the pump really became inflamed and sore. I am at my high school class reunion this weekend and I was really concerned about walking around with a hard on I bought some new shirts I could wear untucked, but, like you I feel like I am hanging lower plus I am just getting more comfortable with my new flaccid. My wife says I could easily go tucked in and no one would notice and she added do you really check out the other guys in the gym shower? LOL! I think we are getting used to our new look.

I am not too concerned about laying off pumping for a few days because a lot of guys don’t begin cycling for 4 to 6 weeks, so I am going to ease into it, makes no sense to me to make yourself that sore. I had more problems pumping than deflating, like you say it is hard to keep the pump from slipping out of your grip, fortunately it hasn’t crashed into anything sensitive if you know what I mean.

I am not sure why, but my flaccid is hanging lower too. We just have to keep in mind we are not that long out of surgery and everything is still cooling off. I think that is why I had such inflammation from pumping, we are just plain not healed yet. I will definitely look up your doctor’s video and let you know it helps. No, I have not had sex with my wife, she was at all my appointments and surgery and there is no way she would let me use it on her, rules are rules! I will definitely let you know how it goes and you do the same. I think it will be a lot easier for me, she is very understanding and wants this to work as much as I do and she doesn’t want any setbacks. Do you have a friend with benefits who could help you launch your new tool? If you will be using it with someone completely new it brings up a bunch of different issues…best of luck with that. Let me know how it goes.

I too have new feelings in my dick, I think it is from having a ‘semi’ all the time, it just makes everything more sensitive, a lot of guys have reported this which seems like a good thing. I will be so relieved when and if I get glans engorgement, that is really important. I was getting a lot with tri-mix so I hope that transfers over. It will be so nice to get back in the saddle, we have some catching up to do.

Overall, I am very happy with my recovery, never any pain, except for the soreness from beginning to cycle. It was all just irritation from trying to pump, it takes a lot more pressure than I anticipated, one video I watched said there is 20 lbs of pressure when the implant is filled, that makes the little pump really hard.

So glad you are feeling better Minnesota, I know it is hard to be patient. Best of luck!

WEEK 4 UPDATE (Actually 27 days but 4 weeks as of tomorrow morning from the date of this posting)

*This update is also in response to AmansinCali. I personally feel our reciprocal conversations adds a lot of value to my updates and those of you out there following along given our journey beginning on the same day.

AmansinCali - I am glad we are on the same path to recovery and can offer each other some help and hopefully others as well. I still have that inflammation between the sac (hematoma) which likes to sit right where the deflation valve is. I need to really move things around and basically push right through it just to get to the deflation valve. I am visiting a friend in St. Louis and have actually been out partying a bit and have been to clubs and even used my new toy the other night which I will get to in a bit!

As far as your reunion, AmansinCali, I think it will go great. Maybe deflate it as much as possible, put that one pump back in and put it to whatever side it hangs best.. I found it helpful to practice in public. What I mean is you almost need to get uncomfortable before you get comfortable with it. I knew I had to look nice and wear nice clothes to some of the places I have been this past week and I just forced myself to be uncomfortable, and eventually as these last few days and nights went on, I only noticed a small bulge when I laid it the right way for me, and my tubes got more used to laying to the left and down my thigh. I just got more used to it.. For me, what is most uncomfortable as of now is at the top of the tubes when I bend it to the left and down my leg when flaccif and trying to be in public wearing nicer tighter fitting clothing.. I believe this is what people describe as dog ears? That bend sort of feels uncomfortable. I am most comfortable wearing baggy sweats or shorts and free balling it at home but obviously not always feasible. I have found that lululemon underwear feel the best when I do need to wear nicer and tighter pants or shorts. I just stretch out the side of the underwear a bit where my penis hangs for a little extra room so it doesn’t bend down so much that it is way too uncomfortable and unbearable to do. But it gives it just enough room.. Keeps it tight enough to where I can get used to it and there’s not a bulge that just looks a boner lol. Just a nice bulge.

As far as other guys and the showering, I am probably the straightest gay person you would ever meet (I mean this playfully and with respect to gays. I have buddies who are gay so no offense to this) so my buddies and I like to give each other shit in the locker rooms and stuff so I know they will definitely see I am hung and it will be funny, idc! I will need to wait til it sits down more though before I shower with anyone…. Especially at work with guys who aren’t tight friends and will see my “flaccid bruised boner” in the shower. I know it will get better tho.

The other night (2 nights ago, 25 days after surgery) and gave it a go! I brought a girl home and found it extremely painful as I was being teased with her riding on top of me with underwear on. Basically riding and pressing down right on the bottom of my dick with her on top and her body weight pressing down… but I fought through it and acted like it was enjoyable lol. I pumped in the bathroom right before I went into the bedroom. BJ and HJ were a bit awkward in my own head, not sure about hers. Reason being is because I knew she had to of felt the tubing a bit with her hand when giving me a HJ while I laid on my back and she was on top… and mainly the pump in my balls given it is so hard and she kept touching down there. She never said anything tho. And keep in mind this is my first time and only awkward because this is a partner that has no clue, and I didn’t tell her. With a partner who knows, would not have been a thing at all… Anyway, what is extremely natural is the sex. There is absolutely nothing unnatural feeling about it for me or the partner as I can tell. You just have a rock hard boner and it feels great for them. As far as ejaculation, wayyyy stronger than in the past. I don’t know why, but it is. I also should add that the next morning I felt things were getting hot and heavy and I actually succeeded at pumping with one hand underneath the covers! I did not go to the bathroom or anything. I should note that the night before all I did was hit my deflate valve a few times without squeezing on the penis to get everything out because it was like 5am and I figured what is the big deal if I wake up with a slight boner or chub. Well, it went down to probly 50% before bed, and with some pumps with my one hand under the covers It got me to like 70% the next morning, which was enough. After I pumped with one hand I didn’t really have the chance to do more because that would have required both hands given how hard it gets to pump as you get harder… and she was already on me. I didn’t know I could do that with one hand but I was under pressure and I guess I am good under pressure?!! It worked out and felt good to get the first one out of the way. My first discreet one that is, even better! I don’t mean to get so personal, but I think this helps people get the best understanding of real life moments with the implant life.

AmansinCali, Interesting you had more issues pumping versus deflating, unlike me.. Don’t you find it tough deflating with all that hematoma in the sac? For those of you who don’t know, hematoma is; “a bad bruise. It happens when an injury causes blood to collect and pool under the skin. The pooling blood gives the skin a spongy, rubbery, lumpy feel.”

That is one thing we are opposite on, AmansinCali. That spongy like pooling blood underneath is what makes it tough to get to that deflate valve. However, I am able to get it after some work. As far as engorgement in the head, if it isn't succesful for you, would cialis or viagra help that possibly? I have noticed that my head did seem a little floppier when I use it for sex when rubbing my head on her in certain spots... Again, tough to explain without being completely blunt!

Next time I pump and update on here, I will count how many pumps it takes to get hard from full deflation. I have found mine is not very many at all in respect to many I’ve read on here, and I have a decent sized reservoir and tubes as well… I am pretty happy about that inflating aspect, and I know deflating will be better once that internal inflammation subsides a bit.. As you said though it makes no sense to pump this early when you are too sore… I also know it isn’t good to wait too long, as Spanish on here told me. I guess the hematoma won’t become worse or cause damage if working through it when pumping and deflating… I began cycling again after my first use two nights ago but only once per day in the evening.
