Any idea how put two 10mcg prefilled caverject in a single syringe?
I have no experience with Caverject.
In violation of the package insert instructions I have used diabetic syringes to "decant" the contents of an Edex cartridge into the normal diabetic syringes. First I mixed (reconstituted) the Edex cartridge as per instructions. I then removed the Edex needle and drew up the contents with the diabetic syringe through the rubber plug the Edex needle originally went through. Fairly easy! I did this with Edex 40 cartridges and was able to get 2 to 3 doses (depending on intended use) from the Edex 40. I froze the 1 or 2 doses in syringes that I didn't immediately use. This was clearly a violation of the official instructions. These doses had the desired effect and my dick hasn't fallen off, yet.
What you're wanting to do is a bit different. Instead of breaking down a Caverject cartridge dose into multiple doses you're wanting to combine 2 Caverject doses into a single larger dose. You should be able to use pretty much the same process.
However, I see two or maybe a few complicating issues. 1st you're going to end up with a dose that while not particularly strong will be large in volume. If you use the 2 full caverject doses you'll have a 2ml dose by volume to inject.
A 2ml dose is not a bad thing in itself except you'll have to use a much larger syringe. A syringe with a capacity larger than 2ml. A 3ml syringes would probably be good. It will not have the useful U-100 insulin markings. It will be in fractions of milliliters. But if you're using the whole 2 Caverject cartridges the markings may not be important. Then you'll need needles.
I'd try 1/2" 30 gauge needles but they may bend too easily when working with such a large syringe. You'll have to experiment with that. You'll probably want to use 2 needles as you'll be going through 2 rubber plugs before injecting. This will likely dull the needle and will certainly be wiping off the lubrication a quality needle will be coated with. So after drawing up your dose I'd change the needle before injecting.
None of the above should be considered medical advice. I'm not remotely qualified to give medical advice, or any other advice for that matter. What I shared is certainly a violation of the Edex and likely the Caverject instructions. Never trust internet forum advice. It was free and likely not worth even that much. Always ask your doctor and follow his/her advice.
